We don't know how "nearby" SWAT actually was.

Given that they appear to, as of right now, gotten there after the shooting stopped and the escape was made, I don't think "nearby" means "down the block" in this case. The only article I've seen that mentions a specific place where SWAT was training had it being over 20 miles away.

I want to point out that CNN just had an officer (A female SERGEANT) doing an interview about this ongoing event on live TV.

She's ODDLY calm and ughh.... this is WEIRD

Exactly.

People who are developmently disabled clearly cannot own a fire arm. Those working with them should also never have a firearm on their person while working with them.

I believe in the 2nd amendment but that's just crazy talk.

Even though you're being sarcastic, I completely agree. Why the hell would caretakers need guns? For the .00001% chance they're attacked by a madman? There's such thing as a police force, you know. And also, they're HIGHLY TRAINED. So how long would a lowly caretaker last against someone like that?!

Motive maybe?

Or knowledge of a gathering and therefore the opportunity for a mass of victims?

Just a thought after reading up on the Center:

This could have been a disgruntled former patient that was not happy with the services they received, or how they were treated.

They appear to have a history of problems and lawsuits.

They are saying that is why the police got there so quickly because there was a training exercise very nearby.

It's all just a coincidence...

You know, kinda like DejaVu...

Never mind the fact that the odds are something on the order of freaking impossible.

One of the major indications we’ve seen that something’s not quite right with these events is training exercises coinciding with the actual attacks. But what a lot of people may not realize is these “coincidences” exist as far back as 20 years ago to the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993, and they spread all across the world. Below is a table detailing an amazing 63 of these events.

False Flags? 63 Terrorism Incidents & Training Exercises

My thoughts exactly. As soon as I turned the news on I had an odd feeling, what I was watching felt off. I mean, where's the adrenaline...

Your sarcasm meter is broke.

That's just as bad as people wanting teachers, even elementary school teachers, carrying weapons to school.

Yeah, but disabled people aren't likely to be perpetrating a gun attack are they? If they are, they aren't very disabled.
