Vs the reality of how events actually play out in the real world.

Showing up late to the thread (been avoiding all media since last night) so this may already have been mentioned: doesn't the San Bernardino shooting resemble the 2014 husband and wife shooting spree out in Las Vegas? If you have a short memory, just Google "Jerad and Amanda Miller." Similarities are: rather than a lone gunman, it was a husband and wife team; pre planned; military style clothing; rather than one act of carnage followed by suicide, they attempted multiple targets, finally ending in a gun battle with police.

I found this NY Times article stating that Farook was born in Illinois.

Before the attack, Mr. Farook, 28, who was born in Illinois and whose parents are from Pakistan, joined colleagues at an annual holiday party for the San Bernardino County Public Health Department, where he worked for five years as an environmental inspector, officials said. He had attended the same party the year before, and he did not appear out of place.

A news station in Cincinnati thought the plane in Pennsylvania was on the runway in Cleveland and one in Dayton Ohio was pretty sure that the VA hospital in Dayton was attacked as well because they saw smoke from a tire fire and could not send their helicopter to check it out.

I don't get it either, I would never be parted with my 9 m.o. Unless there was an immediate danger to him, or it was beyond my control. This was, seemingly, not the case. It's a bond that goes beyond politics or religion. I can't comprehend.

Yep. There were at least two references to people driving by the scenes slowly that I can recall, and at least one reference to two "bearded males" in one of the cars. I believe that was a black Honda Civic and one of the guys was described as wearing a green shirt.

Shamrock - do you think the FBI is being tight lipped because they may be investigating accomplices, or political top-pressure? I always try to give LEOs the benefit of the doubt (I used to work with federal LEOs, and have close friends who are LEOs in Ft Worth) but this whole situation seems to be part of something a little bigger than one shooting spree (I.e. the IED Facility reports, wearing GoPro cameras, etc.)

They'll never tell us unless it gets leaked, but I can almost give a 100% guarantee that this is not, or wasn't going to be some random shooting spree. These are the kinds of attacks these people are known for, and why 80% of America doesn't trust them. Those cameras and body armor were probably given to them by ISIS now that ISIS has money.
