That was my point, I wasn't stereotyping, not sure how you would garner that out of what I said.
My point that flip the script and this guy had been muslim we would all be talking about how he is terrorist and how it would be naive to think of it as otherwise.

We won't talk about how it isn't the 'true' islam or anything thing like that.

Exactly.

That's why I find this entire discussion to be completely disingenuous and it highlights those among us that are intellectually dishonest.

There's nothing to be afraid. Keep up the good work.

The funny thing is a middle eastern man (Jesus) who came for the house of Israel (for the Jews), somehow died for American sin? Bwahahahahahaha

It's given me a little smile this morning to see that not everyone is jumping on the Christians are terrorists bandwagon.

The only people who believe christians are terrorists are LEFT WING EXTREMISTS.

But when the LEFT willfully ignores their own as in the Jeremiah Wrights, The Louis Farakans, and the AL Sharptons.

I lost track after 9 cops were killed because of LEFT wing propaganda.

It's obvious there is an agenda being pushed here.

Yes, it's one of ignorance.

If there was an active propaganda machine that spewed Leftist hatred and it drove deluded, brainwashed Leftists to commit acts of violence, many people such as myself would be fighting against that machine to stop what they are doing. But that doesn't exist.

When a potential Right Winger commits acts of violence, instead of being introspective and looking to see if their own propaganda may have played a role, they blame the Leftists.

It's hypocrisy, ignorance and a whole lot of dishonesty wrapped in to one big package.

What even more humorous is that the tactic we see being used by the Right in this case is equal to kindergarten playground tactics. "I know you are, but what am I" is how they have decided to deal with this situation.

I think it's a leap to make the assumption.

If you want to assume that about the national narrative portrayed through the media, I agree. To assume that about individuals would require a bit of research in order to make that statement in earnest.

Consider the scenario that the ones that can make the distinction in this case also possess the insight to make the distinction in other cases.

no, he died for the world, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Well as of about 30 minutes ago the NYTimes has released some anonymous statements made by those who know Dear.

For Robert Dear, Religion and Rage Before Planned Parenthood Attack

Evidence is now coming to light, providing support the raging accusations spewing from the mouths of several keyboard warriors here, that Dear has a high likelihood of being politically motivated. In the past he expressed support for violence against abortion providers and "sinners."

A number of people who knew Mr. Dear said he was a staunch abortion opponent, though another ex-wife, Pamela Ross, said that he did not obsess on the subject. After his arrest, Mr. Dear said “no more baby parts” to investigators, a law enforcement official said.

One person who spoke with him extensively about his religious views said Mr. Dear, who is 57, had praised people who attacked abortion providers, saying they were doing “God’s work.” In 2009, said the person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of concerns for the privacy of the family, Mr. Dear described as “heroes” members of the Army of God, a loosely organized group of anti-abortion extremists that has claimed responsibility for a number of killings and bombings.

Investigators have only just begun to interview Mr. Dear’s relatives and acquaintances, and are still searching the Internet for his writings. Public information about his early years is limited.

Now would be a more proper time for such threads to come out denouncing the man as a terrorist.

Unfortunately it seems the political pundits do not care for any evidence and rather just yell at each other and call each other names.

The progressive liberal socialist has an agenda. That agenda is to destroy the classic institutions of a nation.
Once the institutions of the nation have been shattered the people are disorganized and left with nothing of the old traditional lifestyle. They are then ripe to be remolded into the new society that the socialist is looking to put into place. A society stratified into three levels. The lower working class, the warrior class and the upper class of scientifically minded and enlightened leadership. Leaders who will live in relative ease because they cant be bothered with everyday toiling while they put their obvious superior intelligence to work guiding the new society to greatness.

This is the agenda of International socialism.

This agenda is being pushed every time some progressive attacks an institution and insults its members as being simple minded fools. International socialism has no problem becoming an ally with International Islam o-fascism because they see them as a weapon to destroy Western civilization. The Islamic weapon will just be crushed later on when the real work of remolding the West is done.

This latest installment of Socialist propaganda is another in a long line of driving the public narrative that Christians are evil at worse and simple minded at best. That "right wing" is an invective term used to describe someone whom is racist and radical and well outside of what is "main-stream". That's funny

My progressive friends let me explain something to you. You need the "right-wing". You need the Republicans and the GOP. Do you know why you need them? You need them to protect you from people like me.

You see I AM A RADICAL TERRORIST.
The only thing preventing people like me from mobilizing and fighting the civil war we all know is coming is the brief glimmer of hope that "normal" Republicans can take control of the ship and for a time at least steer us away from the International Socialist path. Once you destroy those ideas then all bets are off. If you think that what has happened in the US so far even remotely looks like terrorism or violence and chaos then you better dig a deep hole and you better hide in it and hope that the fire does not get to you. I am opposed to everything that International Socialism stands for and I am more than willing to go to war to prevent it from destroying the life of my family and my descendants. When it is clear that there is no longer a safe path then the REAL terror begins. Its not going to be good and a lot of us will die but we will stop the rot one way on the other.

Yes, it's one of ignorance.

Sure is.

Keep spinning that propaganda.

For those that missed it the first time:

The younger Mr. Dear was raised as a Baptist, Ms. Ross said in an interview in Goose Creek, S.C., where she now lives. He was religious but not a regular churchgoer, a believer but not one to harp on religion. “He believed wholeheartedly in the Bible,” she said. “That’s what he always said; he read it cover to cover to cover.” But he was not fixated on it, she added.

He was generally conservative, but not obsessed with politics. He kept guns around the house for personal protection and hunting, and he taught their son to hunt doves, as many Southern fathers do. He believed that abortion was wrong, but it was not something that he spoke about much. “It was never really a topic of discussion,” she said

www.nytimes.com...

What do you mean 'if' there is.

It's been in nonstop action 2 seconds after they said planned parenthood.

I swear ATS have become worse than main stream 'news'.

Oh yeah.

They took their cue from this guy:

After all mass shootings is something we should 'politicize'.

Obvious agenda is obvious.

Well of course not to the 'true believers' waging their 'holy crusade' against the right.

The only thing I have said is that if this man does turn out to be a Right Wing nut, we need to have a discussion about the propaganda they spread that may lead to events like this.

Again, you are avoiding the issue to pass blame and gloss-over the possibility he may be a product of Right Wing propaganda.

If that propaganda and his actions do not represent your views, what is the problem talking about it?

Then again, perhaps it does?

Check this out.

He was an independent art dealer with a degree in public administration from a Midwestern college, she said, who struck deals with artists, mostly Southern ones, who painted Charleston, S.C., street scenes, Old South plantation tableaus, magnolias and pictures of the Citadel campus. He tended to buy the rights to paintings, commission 1,000 or so prints, then market and sell the prints and keep the proceeds.

Sounds like a leftie not a rightie.

Art dealer!

Remember now this is 'art'.

en.wikipedia.org...

I also find it striking that the mom, or whoever is speaking in this one, brings up his dealing with "mostly Southern artists" and she brings up Charleston, SC where Dylan Boot or whatever his name is recently murdered those religious people.

Nice rant. Actually proves some of the points being made here. Are you a product of the propaganda I speak of? Your post is a bit scary, from my point of view.

Do you know why you need them? You need them to protect you from people like me.

I don't need protection from people like you. You are not a threat to me personally.

Let me give you a bit of insight. Many of us Socialists and Leftists are armed just as well, perhaps even more, and as well-trained as those that like to talk about the size of their "weapons".

thats right! all terrorists are actually suffering from mental illness.. this thread supports my theory that terrorism needs to be fought as a psychological war. send in the muslim missionarys! bc, of course, if this guy is a christian terrorist, bc he is mentally ill, then you would be calling muslim terrorists mentally ill as well, sonce u cant have it both ways

this is a dude that told neighbors he installed a metal roof to prevent the govt from beaming mind control signals into his head. he also said the govt was using grammar to control people's thoughts. in short he was as crazy as a june bug. he would have fit in perfectly in some of the subforums of this site. That hardly makes him a christian terrorist.

I haven't read much into this guy, but that's crazy... I guess liberals will use any tragedy they can to pin some type of religious terrorism on a white guy that didn't fit the lifestyle of their utopia. Unreal.

You're talking like someone brainwashed by Right Wing media. Not only are those over-used talking points and rhetoric, it's complete nonsense.

So I assume, then, that you've got proof this guy is a Conservative Christian?

Why do I need to provide proof of something I haven't addressed? I was talking about how you talk.

Never once have I seen that term used on a murderer that is a minority. I'm sure you can shed some light for me though, so that you're not completely wrong. Amirite?

That makes absolutely no sense.

It doesn't make sense to you maybe. That's ok though. Everyone else knows what I'm talking about.

Yup, cry baby victims. That's what we are witnessing here.

As far as the Left and those you listed, what does it have to do with the topic?

Have to change the subject to take the attention off of yourselves?

Totally

You're really missing the point. Or rather, dodging it. Islam contradicts everything Liberals stand for. Yet Liberals defend it to the death.

No, you're deliberately trying to dodge the topic of the thread by discussing a different group of extremists and making completely false allegations.

Who is defending Muslim extremists, terrorists or savage acts of barbarism like stoning people? Why do you think stoning is an exclusively fundamentalist Muslim thing?

Huffington Post - Kevin Swanson And Dave Buehner Ponder Gay Stoning At Rose Bowl Parade

A gay couple made history earlier this month when they married one another on top of a float in the Rose Bowl parade in front of millions, sparking backlash from conservative groups -- including pastors Kevin Swanson and Dave Buehner.

According to Right Wing Watch, Buehner was upset that the float was sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and reportedly claimed on Generations Radio that the "pro-homosexual propaganda" would "spread AIDS." However, the pair didn't stop there.

"I wonder what the Rose Bowl parade would do if we had the stoning of a homosexual along the parade just as an expression of free speech and all that," Buehner casually mulled over. Listen below:

Need I remind you that Kevin Swanson was the organizer of a conference in Iowa not even a month ago featuring speeches by three GOP candidates for President, including a sitting governor and member of Congress?

Now ask yourself whose really "defending an ideology that stones people to death" here? That would be you so yea, I think I'll pass on the brainwashing mantras.

"I wonder what the Rose Bowl parade would do if we had the stoning of a homosexual along the parade just as an expression of free speech and all that,"

So what would you think if there was a reenactment of such a thing? Would free speech win again?
