14 years of lurking, finally emerged & joined

That's a lot of lurking!

I'm a 30 something Scotsman, and have been interested in UFO's, the prospect of ET life and our own ancient history since I was about 12. The UFO and alien interest became more pronounced when I witnessed one when I was 17.

I've always been impressed with the way ATS is moderated, particularly the manner in which thread diversion is realigned, and bad manners are not tolerated. This in turn allows a thread to evolve, and leaves a substantial archive of high quality information to be delved into.

That archive is the reason I lurked for so long without joining - it's a goldmine of ready made discussion.

However, reading a debate (thread) and participating in a debate are 2 different things, so figured I'd give it a go.

Sounds like you won't have a problem with the T&Cs, which I think is the greatest obstacle for new comers.

Yes, that is a lot of lurking. I also have an interest in UFO's and the existence of alien life. Have you ever had any experiences with UFO's? I agree with you in saying that debating and reading a debate thread are two totally different things. Enjoyed this discussion and hope to see you around.
