You might want to read Tao Te Ching or "The Way" by Lao Tzu and see where it leads you. Should you choose to do it, I recommed starting with this translation(which is written the way we can understand ancient aspect from our modern perspective.

Anyway, I think everyone should give it a try...even if you don`t find what you are looking for, you will remember it when you face the same obstacle in life. If you are still undecided, read this reflection paper first...just don`t take everything literally

Can you list some of the pod casts you listen to and let us know where to get them?

I relate to your post.

It seems like some things just fit right or that you already knew things when you first hear them

Do you think I retained info from a past life? Or is there a common truth out there that I was tapping into?

Not OR its AND

I listen to them on my iPhone. I download a lot of religious studies, lectures and stuff. The latest I've been listening to is "Religion of Wicca Witchcraft - Rose Ariadne's blog".

Ahh, Monks are from the mid 60's! The 1940's had me in a tizzy as, aside from some wild experimental jazz, there was nothing that can be termed "punk" ... it was the decade that confused me, and thus you! I love the Monks but they aren't from the 40's... unless Ive had a stroke or something!

you are correct, I thought they formed in 1948 so I assumed 40's, but what I am listening to is 60's punk awesomeness. I think they just met in 1948.

There is nothing of 1948 and them meeting that I can find, don't know where I got that from. Must have been to the false akashic record library, lol, or maybe I jumped universes.

Socrates suggests that the soul could be immortal, and repeatedly incarnated. What one perceives to be learning, then, could be actually the recovery of that latent knowledge acquired from eternity, but lost in the trauma of birth.

Life is all about re-discovering the spider web you were talking about. At the time I found it, it was a much more intense and profound experience by many orders of magnitude than I thought possible to have. But certainly it could be a casual realization and would have been none the less significant. My goal in life is now to share the love I discovered in the spider web you found. Perhaps by writing books, I don't know quite yet but I know that writing is a big part of it.

It doesn't make sense to be harsh to people even when they themselves do wrong, because YOU ARE that one guy you don't like. That one fat bald dumb guy who says strange things and smells bad is you and me, and that multimillionaire singer is you and me to the same extent.

Our lives are a wonderful figment of God's imagination... they don't really exist at all and they can disappear just as easily as they re-appear for those incredibly rare people who can remember their past lives. I don't know all people even have past lives, but I know some do and prove it by recollecting things that only could be known.

Some people go to heaven after they die, and others are re-incarnated. Some don't go on and are worm food... thats fine because God is good at what he does and the part of you that was conscious will continue to be conscious but in another form that is just as well.

Its possible the reason the Jews are more likely to be among the 1% elite is that a higher number of them have nearly perfect recollection of their past lives, as evidenced by the boy in Israel who solved a murder because it was him who was murdered. It was that incident that allowed me to connnect the potential dots. I believe factions of Indians have that ability as well which is what caused them to develop the foolish caste system they had.

An interaction between us and God after we die determines what happens, if anything, in any future lives we may have in store. People don't like to say these things in public because they don't want to be some sort of freak show.

I wouldn't trust that translation if I was you. It repeats the same common mistake that near all translations of it carry, that of chapter 20 "What difference between yes and no?"
It'd make more sense and be a more true translation to say "what is the difference between "yes" and "yeah."
There's probably more mistakes too, but that's the chapter I always jump to when checking Daodejing translations.

How are you sure that you do know what is within the book, when you do not read it? Sometimes it's have happened that I think I understand a concept, but then I read about it, and then I learn that I was wrong.

There is also intuition. Some people are very wise in philosophy naturally, some are wise in business naturally, some wise in language, and so on. Everybody has different brain that is good for different things, so I do not think your easy ability to understand the Buddhism is by necessarily because you was Buddhist in your previous life.

I do not say that previous lives cannot exist. Only, that your natural intuition and inclination, is not by necessarily a proof of the previous life.

On "genetic memory", I do wonder how it is influenced by culture?

I am Serbian ok, but what if, when I was baby, what if, I was not grown up in Serbia, or in Serb family, but instead if I was adopted into the USA, and grown up in, for example, a Jew family, and was never learned about my heritage? Would I even have a single thought of Serbia?

Have anybody ever felt some way about a ethnicity, like, if somebody for no obvious reason liked, for example, French culture and history, and then laterwards discovered that they are actually French? Has this ever happened?

Edgar Cayce (reincarnation specialist) says we are all reincarnated, same exact # of "souls" since the beginning of time coming back in different bodies. Some souls when they die can determine if and when they want to come back.

I just start reading a book and its like I can predict what I am going to read next and bc my time is limited and precious, I am not going waste my time ready something I already know. But you might be right about the intuition. I don't necessarily think ive actually read the book before, but maybe lived a life or read a similar book or took classes and already know the info. Its just really weird and pretty cool. Right now Im reading a book called Many Mansions and yup, stuff I already thought but still enjoy reading bc its crazy stuff that I am finally finding that someone else feels the same exact way I do about religion, etc. With this book I am learning mostly new things tho so its both, stuff I already know or think of mixed with new things that I enjoy learning.

According to Cayce, Yes, it happens a lot.
