I noticed this strange looking object in the sky whilst perusing streetview.

The strange thing is I remember being in the vicinity myself in Jun 2014 as I remember the google camera car passing me one day around that time.

Anyway I have no idea what this may be other than maybe a bird flying into shot at the time of capture. I believe the google cameras have quite a fast shutter speed. I would be interested in what others think this object may be.

Could be a bug flying by, I suppose that would look like that. A bee? maybe.

Possibly a helium balloon released by a child.

Swamp gas? Chinese Lantern? Aeroplane? Weather Balloon?

Probably a hot or cold pixelated area, I don't really know which, but could be either.

Edit - it's probably just a bug

It looks like you have used a thumbnail pic,
Here's the ATS file,

files.abovetopsecret.com...

Scratch that, I was offline for a few moments without realising, so got no link!

Now you come to mention it, it does, and they sell them from the city square

I feel like ATS should post a PSA about the downfalls of using google earth or moon or any other rasterized image as evidence. It would save a ton of time and effort.

From lots of experience with taking photo's and since it's so out of focus, its small and very close to the lens.

Insect would be a good guess. A balloon would be far enough away to be more in focus and more sharply defined.

I'll take your experience with photos over aliens anytime!
thanks

Could be swamp gas, possibly a weather balloon or more likely a bug on the streetview camera.
