An aerial exchange at that altitude, that close to the border, could easily result in wreckage on either side of the border (or both). That the wreckage wound up in Syria is irrelevant to where the aircraft was when it was hit. The proximity of the skirmish to the border does not mean the Turkish entered Syrian airspace by a long shot.

Downed Russian jet violated Turkish air space: NATO

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said data from allies showed that Turkish information that a downed Russian jet violated the Turkish air space.

“We stand in solidarity with Turkey, support its territorial integrity,” the NATO chief said after an emergency meeting in Brussels.

There has been no direct contact between Russia and NATO so far, he said, adding that Ankara and Moscow have already contacted.

He called for more contact.

The situation is serious and tensions should be eased, he said, adding that measures should be taken to prevent any repetition of such an incident.

“The common enemy is ISIL,” he said, referring to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, adding that Russia should be guided by that.

Of course putin has to whip his manhood out because he is stuck in the 80's and thinks he runs the soviet empire.

NATO member Turkey has long been accused by experts, Kurds, and even Joe Biden of enabling ISIS by turning a blind eye to the vast smuggling networks of weapons and fighters during the ongoing Syrian war.

www.globalresearch.ca...
So they were turning a blind eye,
I see.

Guess it is biting them now.

As I understand, the real reason why Turkey shot down the Russian jet, is that Russian jets bomb oil trucks going to Turkey.

The oil carried on these trucks is sold by ISIS to Turkey.

Any commodity with visible or invisible tag of ISIS has to be destroyed if needed to reduce the resources of this brutal organization.

The hypocrisy of NATO and its dogs, Turkey, their chief bull dog, and its pit bull Israel, have violated Syria’s air space at will.

Now Lets hope Turkey violates Syria’s air space so Russia can blow them away but they won't because the Turks are cowards and only pick on the weak like the USA.

Remember, Putin is the one who put the hammer down on ISIS while our gov't tried to play happy families and find a 'diplomatic solution'. I don't understand your underwhelming support for him.

Putin knows the deal:

Russian plane shot down: Vladimir Putin calls Turkey 'accomplices of terrorists' and warns of 'significant consequences'

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday has called Turkeys decision to down a Russian jet near the Syria border a stab in the back.

Add this to the mountains of evidence.

NATO is ISIS

Russia “Violated” Turkish Airspace Because Turkey “Moved” Its Border

www.globalresearch.ca...

One Russian plane may even indeed have slightly crossed the border [in October] while maneuvering. But the real reason why the U.S. military official and Turkey claim the above “violations” is because Turkey unilaterally “moved” the Turkish-Syrian border five miles south.

Not very sporting shooting a man in a Parachute and I believe it is a direct breach of the geneva convention, just goes to show the mindset of those on the gound in Syria.

I thought it was a matter of time before a incident like this would happen, It will be interesting to see what Putin has regarding options as no doubt it is something they have planned for prior.

Globalresearch is a propaganda site. How many times do we have to point this out? This occurred in turkish airspace and not in any buffer zone.

You strap yourself on this idea that Putin is running a covert Soviet Empire.
Trust me; if he was Turkey and half of western Europe would have been bombed by now.

He's using dialogue to the extremest. It will end.

And the response of the NATO is an utter disgrace.
No regards to lost lives, not to mention the NATO backed rebels who shot down a rescue shopper

Rebels are bought and will fight for whoever pays more so if Putin wants to attack both ISIS and the rebel factions then so be it!

And you have proof of this?

What comes to mind, is "alleged" incursions of Turkey in Greek territory, as well as N.Korea into the South. The US into China's and so forth.

No I am saying putin is delusional in that he thinks its the 1980s still and that he is running the soviet union instead of modern day russia.

A great closing argument from the narrow-minded.

Bravo.

Edit: Keep in mind the amount of rebels that defect to ISIS.
