If you look at the Syrian national council,a group who we the west see as the legitimate government of Syria instead of Assad you can see the string pullers

www.theguardian.com...

The other throw of Assad has been long in the making and once our own freedom fighters had their backs broken and in no what shape or form could topple Assad suddenly ISIS comes into the picture and suddenly make huge advancements and even have the ability to sell oil:-/

On lunch .......
This is causing massive ripples through NATO and especially European forces and governments

I never say this lightly
In fact I've never said this
This is gonna get interesting
in a bad way fast.
A politician is currently getting chewed out for admitting that turkey is supporting Isis on a popular radio station
And certain military departments are on lockdown/ very high security, briefings ongoing in the usual most secure buildings (WOK's and the like), officers in a panic and Troops looking nervous whilst the panic knee jerk reactions unfold

Something that just crossed my mind.......combine this and where it's going with yesterday's SDSR.....the PVR's (pers. voluntary redundancy (quitting )) are gonna start racking up.

Oh the drama...

I always find it amusing how people in this forums on one hand accuse all governments of working in cahoot to bring the populace down and on the other seem to believe that there is even a remote chance of an actual full scale big war to happen.

It won't and you know why?

One sided 'military incursions' are good for GDP, big full-scale world wars are a bugger for GDP, since the variables are highly unknown and not only it can go either way, but you are also at risk of suffering serious damage. Follow the money and you will find the who, the why and the how.

Not according to Turkey.

Their word is "bogus" ... if Turkey was truly not Turkey, with US Dick Cheney up their ... they'd be glad that Russia was getting rid of the "trash" and look the other way, even if they flew over the border.

They're not looking the other way, they're looking for an excuse to shoot one down. Means their voiced intentions, are not genuine. That includes their "excuses", and just as in the case a month or so ago ... both are downed over Syria, not Turkey.

No one wants an escalation, least of all Russia.

That's BS, and you should know better.

The British navy is searching for a Russian sub north of Scotland. US senators have called for providing weaponry to rebels to shoot down Russian aircraft. The Ukraine crisis is on full escalation ...

EVERYBODY is looking for an excuse to KILL Russians. And the sooner the Russians realize this, and start writing the rules on the wall ... the better off we all are.

Will Russia declare Turkey a terrorist harbouring breeding ground worthy of attack ?

Or will they leave it to beaver ?

If i was Turkey I'd be careful f*****g around with Russia. 4 centuries of war between two countries should be enough of experience and lesson for Turkish dumb asses not to screw around.

Can manpads reach 6000 meters / 3.728 miles / 19,683 feet?

Turkey confirmed that it used 2 F-16s to shoot down the SU-24. Russia is trying to save the situation by saying the plane may have been shot down from the ground. But Turkey vehemently claiming responsibility is not helping.

Putin has already confirmed that it was an air to air shoot down from an F-16. He has also confirmed it on video interview.

Our aircraft was downed over the territory of Syria, using air-to-air missile from a Turkish F-16. It fell on the Syrian territory 4km from Turkey.

Not really if it violated turkish airspace. Its not like this is the first time Russia did this and its not relevant it was in Syrian airspace when it was hit. It still intentionally violated Turkish airspace.

Violation of airspace is a common occurrence. It does not mean you should shout down a plane. Putin done a better job at dealing with terrorism in Syria within in a few days than the US done in a year and half. Speak dang volumes to me.

Russia is fighting terrorism with France now and gets stabbed in the back by Turkey. Real nice move and your defending it.

That makes no sense to me.

Happy Days to you

Putin Statement is quite amazing.
He tearing this Syria thing in the wide open.

Remember his statement when he said " we now have evidence of 40 nations aiding ISIS 4 of them from the NATO "
Now " Putin: Downing of Russian jet over Syria stab in the back by terrorist accomplices "

This is escalating very fast...

Then maybe some users should do research instead of choosing willful ignorance? See post above this one for an example of people not doing any research on this topic while demonstrating the actions in the pictures to a t.

My opinion is russia violated turkish airspace....again...and got shot down. So yes in this instance russia is in the wrong.
