If Turkey has iron clad proof Russia invaded their air space. than Russia is at fault. Russia has been invading international air space of other countries in the past 2 years. They played with fire too long and they now got burned.

If Russia wanted to conduct bombing raids near Turkey's border, than they should have notified Turkey before hand. Turkey warned the Russian pilot 10 times within 5 minutes to leave their airspace yet the pilot ignored the warnings. If Russia is going to be that bold and ignore the warnings, their plane should have been shot down.

Nobody's above international laws.

Its a fast moving thread and I did not see your post. Maybe consider that before acting like an ass over missing a post of yours.

First Russia Violating Turkey airspace has to be proven.

Turkey released radar intercepts showing the violation.

Second should Israeli airplanes be shot down everyt time they violate Syrian arispace?

Syria would have every right to do so.

Third should we risk a world war because of a violation of airspace?

Russia is the one risking a start by violating turkish airspace.

Edit:
Turkey violate Greek Airspace more than 1000 times annually, but that seems to be ignored ! Should turkey airplanes been shot down?
Turkish jets violated Greek airspace 1,017 times

And those 2 countries deal with it in their own way.

How ironic it would be if Nato and Russia squared off over an argument about which anti Western Jihadist group needed destroying most.

High time we threw the Turks out of Nato, their alliegiances lie increasingly towards Islam.

I agree, turks aren't reliable allies.

Fighter jet shot down after 'violating Turkish air space'

A fighter jet which violated Turkish air space has been shot down close to the Syrian border after ignoring warnings, a Turkish military official has said.

The official said the nationality of the downed jet is unclear.

It was known from the outlet that it was Russian, and more to the point, it wasn't flying in Turkish airspace. The turks are trying to "protect" the border of Turkey that is, and has been, the main source for supplies for the Rebels and ISIS.

The Russians will play this down ... which, as so often before, is the wrong move ... they should nuke turkey, period. Turkey won't stop supporting, neither the Rebels, nor ISIS.

The Russians have to be ready to use their Nukes.

This is not footage of the russian pilots. They have white parachutes. The comments support that.

It wasn't when it was downed. That is very clear.

Yep. This is getting worse by the minute.
Reports now saying the following:

1. Pilot dead on ejecting, second shot in the air while parachuting down.
2. Helicopter shot down while searching for the pilots, one report says all on board dead, another says it landed.
3. Group in possession of the dead fighter pilots reportedly one backed by West.

All unconfirmed of course, but this is going to be a very difficult time for Putin and NATO either way.
His public is going to be clamoring for a retaliation, NATO will likely find it difficult to not defend Turkey if Russia does take action against it.

I hope cooler heads prevail here.
If Russia does retaliate against the Rebels or Turkey NATO should stay well out of it. Turkey has caused this through their own stupidity no matter what any extremely nervous British analyst (just seen on Sky news) says about Russia's arrogance.

Again, yes Russia is an arrogant, stupid nation for continuing to poke at Turkey, but Turkey is an enemy within and is pretty much entirely responsible for acting completely irrationally here and creating chaos where there need not have been any.

The disgrace would be accepting the video as authentic instead of realizing its not related to this incident and its not the russian pilot.

What is disgraceful is people once again pretending russia can do no wrong.

We are seeing a Turkish map of borders, But do these maps represent and include the five mile buffer zone that Turkey has imposed yet recognised by no-one....That could be why Russia are saying they never intruded on Turkish airspace ?
