Don't be a believer as that implies somebody who believes in a narrative regardless of evidence. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Yeah, but... BIRD! (kidding). Congratulatuons on your awakening! I have seen an example or two of similar phenomenon. Keep looking up!

Congrats, if just you had a video, it would be amazing for us too

No, it would only provoke more skepticism and accusations of "CGI" and the like from members who shall remain unnamed here...you know who i mean

So what is it that you now believe and why didn't you believe it before?

I have seen " things " in the night sky for many years. However what i had witnessed previously i had always assumed that there was a rational explanation for. A light in the sky can be anyone of many things.
However what i witnessed earlier this evening had no rational explanation. It was so completely unreal.

I get that part, that you have "gone over" from not believing to believing. But what exactly is it that you now believe that you did not believe before? I don't want to put words in your mouth, but as an example that may not apply, do you now believe in "aliens from space" where you did not before? Or is it something else entirely? You say you saw something that has "no rational explanation," and I'm struggling with what that means. What is the nature of your newfound "belief"?

I have always been a skeptic on the UFO phenomena. However i have just witnessed something that i can give no explanation of whatever.

Just 15 minutes ago i was walking back home and happened to glance up into the sky. The sky here is 100% clear of any cloud cover.
As i glanced upward a small white light ( dot ) very high in the sky, came into my vision. I stopped walking to take notice of it. Initially i was convinced it was a satellite, as it was moving at a steady speed on a defined path.

However after about a minute or so, it stopped dead. It then moved back along the same path it had previously traveled, then stopped again. It's next path of direction was a 90degree turn. After about 20 seconds it then turned another 90 degrees and continued on.

Over the next few minutes it continued to carry out more erratic maneuvers across the visible sky ( stopping, turning, accelerating etc ). I only stopped viewing when it was no longer in my visible site. The whole episode lasted about 3 minutes.

I have never witnessed anything such as this. I know that there is nothing i am aware of that could carry out a " show " such as this.

and thats all it took?

so this could have been a drone, satellite, something floating or moving but from your point of view appeared to be moving and stopping on a dime.

imagine if in the court of law jurors would convict based on ambiguous evidence.

Maybe i didn't explain well enough. Let me try again.

I now believe where i didn't believe before that there are " vehicles "( for want of another word ) that are flying around in our atmosphere, that as far as i am concerned have no reasonable explanation for what they could be.
What i witnessed, mainly the way it maneuvered , was so completely unreal.

Drones don't fly higher than commercial aircraft. This thing was " high"

Satellites don't move back and forth. Unless you know of one that doe's

Something " floating " doesn't move fast. By the very nature of the word it " floats"

Your right on you last assumption. Yes it was moving. And moving like i have never seen anything do so previously.

Okay. Thanks for elucidating. So you are sure whatever you saw was a "vehicle" that moves in a strange way. I might suggest that calling it a "vehicle" might be a stretch, since that implies something mechanical. You only have a moving light to go by, though that explanation is certainly possible.

You asked in another post about moving satellites. Though I don't know that they move "back and forth," many military satellites are maneuverable. They carry fuel and can be moved to be more directly over a target. It is an expensive proposition that is not done lightly or at a low level of responsibility, but it is frequently done to have them over areas of conflict, for example, either for targeting or observation purposes.

First off, congratulations on seeing something like that, it makes you really wonder when you do.

Second, keep looking, you will never stop looking up now.

Third, who cares if he didn't take a picture or video. He knows what he saw and that's his experience. Get off his back and let him have that.

It's amazing to experience. I've got eight in total, one up close for about two hundred meters away ,beaming the ground an leaving with tremendous speed. It had breathing lights like lungs and no sound vertical triangular shape ..

That was fifteen years ago, never to see it again like that ..

I had a similar experience some years ago. I saw what I thought was a satellite moving on a straight path. Then after about half a minute a smaller one, moving faster, came along behind it and when it caught up with it it got 'swallowed' up by the bigger one and the bigger one continued on its journey.

Welcome to the club! I was never "into" this topic before I saw something...October 2012. I joined ATS a short time later because there was a post on here similar to my sighting. Then I found out about the MUFON reporting center and found another report on the same date close to where I saw what I saw.

You'll never be the same again, that is for sure! I always keep my eyes on the sky now but I still haven't seen anything like what I saw that night.

S&F.

Interesting. Thanks for taking the time to share. Not necessarily ET though, it seems there is quite the space program(s) that have/has been kept hidden from us.............if you would like more info on this topic here is a place to start:

What you experienced and now knowing what you know, is like kicking an illuminated door wide open while all the skeptics sit in the dark talking about how crazy we are. Like the other poster said. Welcome to the club

I experienced the exact same thing to what you have described about 2 years ago. Never told anyone, but I knew it wasn't a satellite. Was it aliens? I don't know...

I had a pair of binoculars on me and it was spherical in shape but was so far away I couldn't see any real detail.

I just happened to be gazing at the stars on a clear night, when I spotted what I initially assumed was a satellite, as it's uniform movement across the sky grabbed my attention. That's when it stopped abruptly. It moved from left to right and up and down, in what appeared to be straight lines.

It's speed appeared to be uniform and the object started and stopped instantaneously, and the distance of this object; some distance into space means this feat would surpass anything I know that we can currently engineer.

I watched it until it flew back into space, or so it seemed to disappear off into the distance (or further space).

Still don't know what it was to this day, but I saw your post was exactly like my experience and it reminded me.

Proves to me that I wasn't seeing things anyway.

To those who say just get a video of it. I have to say it is impossible with a camera phone, the object appears to be an erratically moving star, and the camera just can't pick it up.

I tried to get the camera lens to look through the binocular lens but it was to difficult to then pin point the object.

What I would have killed for at the time was a telescope, but the thing was out in space and was obviously moving at speeds that would have been impossible to follow with a telescope.

When it was still for long enough, it seemed to fly away at warp speed and disappear. So these type of siteings are just personal and can't be captured unless you happen to have specialist equipment on you at the spur of the moment, considering it was only around for around 2 minutes.

Anyway I'm of the mind that we are possibly alone in the universe, at least in the sense of intelligence. Which is hard to believe when I remember what I have seen. But then I think, maybe it was human technology after all...

Either way life goes on, and we're still none the wiser.

you can read about my best sighting here

www.discogs.com...

btw .. i went and measured the distance to the end of the street the other day and it is 70 meters.... so this craft was a hell of a lot closer than i had thought

Good for you, welcome to the club. Now you know it is really happening.

This event officially makes you smarter than anyone from NASA or Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
Glad to have you aboard.

How do i feel?

I think the only way i could explain it would to be that my mind is baffled. I am sitting here and going over in my mind continually, what i observed. Feel quite weird to be honest. I am trying to think of what the hell it could have been, but the only thing i can think of is " i don't know ".

But you are confident that you know what it wasn't...Been there, done that...One that I saw looked like a typical satellite traveling at satellite speed when it turned 90 degrees without slowing down and continued in that direction until it was out of sight...

I often spot those and show people who's first reaction is always "it's a satellite"..until it starts moving completely unlike one lol.

Thanks for posting your experience
