But I will not be party to the bigotry against innocent Muslims that has taken a grip on this nation.

You sure were part of the forces that killed or were responsible for the deaths of 100's of thousands of innocent muslims, and seem to be proud of it.

Don't make me your enemy. I will fight you. You will not lead innocent people to camps, put them on trains, deport them for practicing their Constitutionally protected religion. I will pick up my Constitutionally protected arms and I will destroy you if you cross that line. Do not turn our nation into the evil we once fought. There will be no forgiveness from God for sins so profane. You have been warned.

Wow, drama much?

Wth are you even talking about.

And who do you think you are are making threats of violence while preaching your hypocrisy.

Then good let's talk about them. It's those Liberals that stand in the way of the reformation of Islam and they are indirectly responsible for the rising levels of bigotry. It is those liberals exacerbating a bigger problem and it would be nice if they just got out of the way. Islam needs reform and the civilized world has been waiting for this to happen.

My issue has always been the way we're "fighting" terrorism.

I too, am familiar with the mindset and we are authoring our own demise with the actions the US policy is enacting.

"Fighting terrorism" is an oxymoron. Every time you kill a "terrorist" you create more. Instead of "fighting" terrorism with weapons -- we need to stop creating terrorists by understanding what causes their hate. To these people, we are the aggressors, we are the evil ones, we are the enemy and the hegemonic "Darth Vaders".

These people honestly think they are the like the Rebel Alliance in Star Wars -- the good guys. They've been brainwashed to believe this. Does anyone think a Stormtrooper on the Death Star thought he was an evil soldier, fighting for an evil empire?

I use Star Wars references because it uses simple themes and is a movie franchise nearly everyone has seen.

First of all as an American I thank you for your service! I also thank you for not letting the evils of war blind you and bind you with hate.

As a conservative (yes Im no fan of Obama) I don't believe all muslims seek to cause harm. I have had and have friends that are Muslim and they are everyday people.

However, I do believe that we are in a new era and the radicalized muslims of the world are actively seeking to project their beliefs on others. They are projecting their beliefs in both diplomatic and radical ways.

America is the great melting pot and we are a nation of many people from all across the world and for the most part no matter where you are from Americans assimilate and adopt the American system, constitution, and values. That being said I fear the Muslims and their religious and ideological beliefs will not seek to assimilate. I fear they will not accept our values and freedoms. I look at countries like Sweden who was is very liberal and has a very open door policy to Muslims and I see what is happening there. I see that rape has risen 1000% over the past 30 years, I read that in many places in Europe like Belgium, France, England, and Sweden muslim self segregation is occurring (self Apartheid)

Sadly this will get much worse as America will be attacked and it is just a matter of when and to what extent.

I am not proud of civilian deaths. No one in my formation who deployed with me is either. We didn't cause any.

We go through great lengths to avoid civilian casualties. ALL of the medevac mission I participated in that involved civilians were caused by the Taliban, not Coalition Forces.

Your claim of hundreds of thousands is wrong too. You might want to look up who was actually responsible for most of the deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I think my "threat" speaks for itself. No self respecting patriot, regardless of what political, religious, or social background they hail from, should ever allow the kind of oppression that has been suggested against Muslims in this country.

Islam needs reform and the civilized world has been waiting for this to happen.

The "civilized world" has been repressing and holding back the Islamic world since the fall of the Ottoman Empire after WWI -- carving up the entire area arbitrarily, installing puppet dictators, playing arms dealer, supporting radical rebels and keeping the entire region plunged into a perpetual state of chaos and near-anarchy.

The ME, due to its oil represents a great threat to the West. If the ME was allowed to advance and modernize, it would soon become a dominant rival to US hegemony on the geopolitical landscape. A large a part of this has to do with the petrodollar. If all the ME countries started selling their oil to anyone in any currency, the US Dollar would plummet and our economy would collapse worse than any depression we've ever seen.

It has been in the best interests of the West to keep the ME "down" and mired in sectarian violence. Divide and conquer, keep them 100+ years behind the rest of the world, and continue to keep Western dominance the #1 priority.

We're doing the same thing in Africa as well, we're screwing around with the governments and people there. America's power would be under threat if Africa were to realize more of its potential.

EDIT: Also, fostering radical Islam in the ME plays into the hands of the power-brokers of the West. Radical Islam is a "boogyman factory". Anytime America needs to scare Americans into giving up freedoms for more surveillance and draconian security measures, they can just pull a new evil boogyman out of their hat. It's a great way to always keep Americans scared and willing to sacrifice whatever they're told to be "safe"...and I'd ask, how is that working? Has the TSA stopped anyone? Has the NSA's mass data collection really stopped another 9/11?

Absolutely. Islam hasn't had a reformation since its' inception 1400 years ago. They once were the center of scientific and philosophical knowledge. They would send emissaries to far away lands to seek knowledge and concepts unknown to them. I would like to see the Middle East once again become the center of discovery instead of being a land of oppression and suppression of knowledge.

I'll agree that the war on terrorism is just like the war on drugs or the war on poverty.

These aren't wars that are fought to be won.

We've never fought to actually win and defeat the enemy.

But shoulda, woulda, coulda. . . .

We're in it now, regardless of how it started.

We have 2 choices the way I see it. We either fight to win or surrender.

And it sure as hell looks like we're surrendering.

If we stop, THEY won't. No matter how "harsh" our language is or how stern and serious our feeble politicians are.

Sure, wash your hands clean by pointing out you did medevac missions and ignore that you are in fact part of the American war machine that is responsible for the deaths of 100's of thousands, while threatening with violence against your countrymen based on hyperbole and fantasy.

You are warned, I will destroy you.....pfff, gimme a break.

Megalomaniac much?

No person that would oppress another because they practice their constitutionally protected religious rights is my countryman.

I am not threatening to destroy people over some unfounded fantasy scenario.

No desire to check on those numbers?

All the result of your illegal and immoral invasions and collateral damage.

A fantasy scenario that allows you to flex your muscles. A lot of misplaced and obnoxious bravoure over basically nothing substantial.

Except for all the threads made by members of ATS that would do these things to American Muslims, that would advocate it.

Except for the Republican front runner, Donald Trump, who has suggested special IDs and shutting down mosques, among other things.

This isn't a fantasy. We're getting dangerously close to making this stuff a reality. I will fight against it.

Both the invasion of Iraq and the Invasion of Afghanistan(a NATO operation) were authorized by Congress.

You bring up some good points but I'm not entirely convinced the US purposely keeps Islam down. Islam has been at war with itself long before oil was discovered, I hate to say it, but the divide and internal strife is just a bonus for America because you're correct. If Islam got their act together they very well could be a super power of united Arabs. All ME, Egypt, Iran, SE Asia . A force to recon with.

We're doing the same thing in Africa as well, we're screwing around with the governments and people there. America's power would be under threat if Africa were to realize more of its potential.

That's something I might research up on because it's doesn't sound unrealistic knowing what I know about the United States.

Have you heard of Sam Harris? He's a theologian Atheist well versed in Islam. Very cool headed guy and I've watched him in many debates. Take 15 and watch this video. He says what we're all desperately trying to say but he says it much more elegantly. Islam needs reform and now is the time to do it. Of 1400 years of Islam, there have only been 12 decades of peace with the religion. The information age we're in now will expedite an ideology like wild fire.
