The ego and the self are philosophical, psychologic concepts. Of course they exist. As everything you have a symbol for to talk about.

So are you saying that concepts exist as concepts?

Concepts are concepts. I use them to communicate ideas.
I can't quite believe i have to repeat that for over a page now...

So does 'tomorrow' exit?
Or is 'tomorrow' just an idea, a word - that points to something that does not exist?

Tomorrow exists, as concept to communicate, it means the day after today.

So would you agree that no one has ever seen 'tomorrow' and never will?
'Tomorrow' only ever appears in a story.

Wtf, are you trolling me?
Has anyone ever seen an unicorn? Or a soul? Or a self?

I don't know if anyone has seen a unicorn.

Why answer a simple question with another question?

So would you agree that no one has ever seen 'tomorrow' and never will?

'Trolling' would imply that I am trying to get an emotional reaction - I am just trying to get some clarity and honesty.

So you have seen a unicorn??
But would you agree that no one will ever see a 'tomorrow'?

No i saw a tomorrow, it was like an oyster on six feed with green and blue hair... But it is even more rare to see one in its natural habitat than a bigfoot.

That is dishonest.
Don't you find it strange that you will not answer seriously or honestly?

Oh now not again! Tomorrow is the symbol we use to talk about the day after today. Another concept.

It is a word a concept a symbol.
Do you see it? TOMORROW, there it was. Again? TOMORROW!

Maybe the ego is not the problem, maybe it is the false surroundings that should be tamed and controlled.

This got me thinking from a different angle! Our human-perception perspective has such an effect on our environment, i.e. the universe, that the environment being perceived is itself a product of our consciousness(this was a very recent ATS thread that I lost track of before I could get into it).

Should our conscious state become misaligned from an honest and truthful pursuit, an equally malformed perception of our environment is formed further reinforcing the illusion we are projecting for ourselves and others, giving rise to the myriad harmful tendencies and actions.

Is it conceivable that the collective malperception of reality by the masses of humanity is creating this world of perpetual suffering?

So you agree that 'tomorrow' is a symbol that points toward something that does not exist.
Thank you - glad that is cleared up.

Well me personally, just like the tomorrow, the self describes some concept. I don't say thing because you would bother me with that the next two pages. What is the self, the self is the construct of my experience, the ego, inherited traits and home, or anchor to my soul.
Therefor yes, i concern myself with that, because it is the center of the life i am currently living.

Are you pro or con neutral observer?

Your circular logic is flawless.

Would be nice if you would stop using it to troll.

Personally I don't see the point in arguing too much about this anymore. Even if he did understand that tomorrow, self ect. is just a concept he still wouldn't take it any further then that. It would just become a new belief. It takes a lot of self honesty and critical inquiry to actually get to a point where you can talk and apply these with honesty. And you won't find many of these people here.

If no one observes your existence NO; as the/an observation of you is crucial and causes a communication/handshake. The concern lies in ones convincing oneself exists at all with any purpose. I would imagine the AUO created others in order to experience itself.
