Rain Kept Falling

And the rain kept falling,
Each drop individually.
One by one they fell,
And then collectively,
When there was enough,
They became the sea,

Why is it that we,
Never become the sea,
Never mesh together,
Work cohesively ,
To become more,
Then one person alone can be...

Conflicted

I don't know which scares me most,
The enemy I know or the enemy I don't.
The guy who announces that he is bad,
Or the one who waits in silence instead.

I don't know what will make me safe,
Do I embrace the love, or the hate?
Which side is the right side to take?
Both have valid points they make.

I do know that in times like these,
When everyone is feeling ill at ease,
The social temperament scares me more,
Then anything else I've feared before.

Thanks,

Really liked "The Rain Kept Falling".

When put like that, the comparison of millions of falling raindrops to millions of "right-minded" individuals makes sense.

The collection of water becomes drinkable, . . .useful.
The collection of individuals . . .well . . . it's a work in progress. Let's hope our collective does half as well.
