JAKARTA, Indonesia - North Korea sold more than 10,000 rifles and other weapons in 1999 and 2000 to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, the largest pro-Al-Qaida extremist group in the Philippines, according to Southeast Asian security sources.

Between 1999 and 2002, North Korea also attempted to sell submersible vessels to the MILF, which is fighting for independence for Mindanao in the southern Philippines, the sources said.

North Korea's submersible infiltration craft are believed to be capable of carrying suicide bombers and other insurgents to coastal areas near targets. Security authorities in Southeast Asia have heightened their level of alert and are sharing information about North Korean arms smuggling operations, the sources said.

Does anyone know if the MILF had any connection with the Bali bombings?

- I have suspected this would happen for a while now. Now the election is out of the way.

They laughing in our faces with this crap and will put up any old rubbish no doubt s'n-word'ing to themselves as they do it; 'MILF' indeed, FFS - and now we're expected to believe Al Quada have some sort of a navy and subs too.....cos that kind of thing is just so easy, right?

(Hmm, best shove several more billion at the arms industry er sorry defence industry then, right?
)

I take it these 'reports' are supposed to be the super-duper new kind with added credibility after the farce that was the so-called intel over Iraqi WMD's, hmmm?

The web gets thicker....

Philippine intelligence reports obtained by CNN show numerous links between armed Muslim groups in Thailand and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), the largest Muslim separatist group in the Philippines.

The MILF ran three al Qaeda training camps, intelligence officials tell CNN, and when the Philippine military captured one of those camps, soldiers found Thai passports.

Did someone say MILF?

Anyways, small arms are sold internationally by this quantity every few hours, 24/7 365 days a year.

But we'll take anything we can get as pre-emptive strike measures!

Really? To terrorist organizations linked to Al Qaeda?

Sweet, make those purchases public so we can discuss it.
