Not sure on US law but here thats a pretty big crime.

US law would be hard pressed to throw him in jail, but the civil litigation side would render him penniless and indebted to any partners who he infected.

I haven't researched in depth yet but, what I have skimmed over seems inconclusive.

It Appears to be on a state by state basis although, there are federal laws against anyone donating blood though.

If he was sleeping around while he knew he was infected, how do you prove he was the source? It ain't like he was porking innocent little virgins. Any partners he had could have caught it from anywhere - especially the porn stars.

Not only that but, can't it take several years before it shows up in the bloodstream?

Unless you are in a faithful long-term relationship, how would you know exactly who gave it to you?

Porn stars are tested very regularly. Their industry is highly regulated on that issue.

I am. I think it is considered illegal here, but the burden of proof makes it difficult to prosecute. The prosecution would have to prove that Sheen intentionally tried to infect others or lied about his status if/when asked OR they would have to prove the victim had zero reason to use protection with him (i.e. belief of a monogamous relationship, marriage, etc.) I'm not sure any of these things hold water with Sheen (except the lying thing.) The court would most likely view it as a situation in which any reasonable person would wear protection when entering into sexual contact with Sheen based off common knowledge that he's promiscuous, admits to seeking relationships with whores, and is an admitted IV drug user. What looney tune has sex with someone like that sans prophylactics?

He's doing the interview tomorrow to get the information out a day before the National Enquirer (yeah, i know) reports the information they have obtained over the last 18 months.

Fascinating yet pathetic at the same time.

It's the affluence and unlimited opportunities that probably made him feel invincible and careless.

I just wonder how much good he could have done and, how much he could have truly given back to humanity if his priorities were more in check.

I imagine these might be things he has already self evaluated....hopefully anyway.
