The first column I wrote on the Mizzou controversy analyzed the allegations and pointed out that firing a president had zero connection to any of the allegations or the demands for the protesters. In that column I accepted the protester's allegations as true. But as the week has gone on and the protesters have been exposed as anti-first amendment, selectively racist, and, last night, willing to perpetrate actual lies to get more attention, isn't it time to examine whether these incidents are actually real?

Is the entire Mizzou protest based on lies?

Ive been a bit out of the loop on domestic news lately, so I had to do some reading when I found out what all this Mizzou controversy was. I read a few pieces but this article pretty much sums up my suspicions on this matter. The article includes the update with the police report and photos of the poo-swastika, but it still does not remove suspicion that it could have been made by the very people wishing to stir up the controversy.

Yeah, it's all lies. But these people have repeated the lie so much that they believe it. They actually believe a tragedy worse than what just occurred in France has happened on their campus.
It's called Catastrophizing.
Some guy made up a rumor the KKK was on campus, later admitted it wasn't true, yet they still think it's true. They want to believe it so bad, that they just can't let it go. It's a dangerous form of mental retardation I'm beginning to think.

And it's far worse than terrorist attacks in Paris.

Mental retardation alright, wanting to believe an atrocity that's fake to better their cause. I swear some of these clowns at the mizzou protest are more racist than the ANC and the youtube clip of the Asian women saying she was racially vilified by Blacks at the Protest was accosted by a black women from the camera's because it didn't fit their narrative.

to be honest i thought it was nonsense right from the very start, when i saw that none of those kids could provide evidence to back up their claims.
Let's face it, if the whole story was "a goat walks into the campus" there would have been hundreds of pictures or videos in no time.
but all this serious stuff is happening and suddenly they all go "doy, i forgot how to touchscreen!"

It was nothing more than entitled brats crying about not having their own safe space and other trigger related junk.
And people just bought into it without even checking, if because they are kids (and kids are ALWAYS right) or were mostly black (and blacks are ALWAYS oppressed-even the millionaire ones) i don't really know.

here is an interesting video to watch that deals also with the "broader picture

Excellent article...

The entire mess is a sham.. The question is why? What was this incident suppose to instigate and why.

These people are so indoctrinated by their liberal education courses that they needed to create faux outrage in order to act out. The sadest part is they pay good money to have themselves brainwashed.

College used to be less expensive and prepare you to be successful in life. Now all it does is put you deep in debt and prepare you for a lifetime of victimhood.

I thought so too, apparently it goes back to 1905 though.

this entire BLM thing was started as a soros funded astroturf thing to be able to say Bernie Sanders is racist because he potentially could get more votes than Hillary from the African American community.

I suspect that the Mizzou protests are built, at least partially on lies and in part on half-truths. But the movement has spread in a viral manner to other campuses which was probably the intent and the protests at those campuses have definitely turned ugly, with protesters storming study halls and libraries demanding people ascent to the movements premise or face intimidation and possible violence.

I expect this will only get worse going forward and whether or not the entire underpinnings of this movement are shallow or not I suspect it will result in some profound changes in how these Universities function going forward. It may indeed change the way people pursue higher education altogether. But how that will play out, I can't predict. The large, publicly funded State Universities may see the most profound change in terms of demographic makeup and may begin to experience less public support for funding. It may also be the case that the dominance of Football on these campuses may slowly dwindle as well. I have to suspect that the biggest winner in this may well be foreign Universities, as more of the serious and gifted students seek educational opportunities overseas at Universities with social atmospheres more aligned to serious academic pursuits.

its all lies... until the next monthly mass shooting motivated by hate occurs or another blatant act of bigotry pops up...

then we'll all be shocked and awe'ed and never have seen it coming, because there was no tell tell signs....

I used to work at a resource center quite a few years back, and there was someone who consistently painted quite intricate yet racist and pornographic paintings on the wall in his own feces. No one feared a growing "culture of racism" of course, since we new anyone who takes the trouble to use his own poo as a medium must be crazy. We called him the "Mad Painter", and when we finally found out who it was, we were quite apt in our descriptions. He was insane.

When I first heard about that, I said right away that it didn't sound like something some white supremacist type would do. For that sort, such a symbol would be more sacred, and using feces to make one sounds a lot more like something someone against such groups would do. Sort of a comment on how they felt bout said groups. Yet every single person defending that bunch totally ignored my comments on that bit. They also seemed unhappy that no one could prove the only other two actual "offenses" listed, which were claims of shouted comments. The rest of the "timeline" was all protesting.

Yeah, I could easily buy the whole thing being fake.

Agreed. Maybe this was a project assigned by a social science teacher. "Use your victimization to receive as much attention as possible "

C-C+- annoy enough peers on campus that they complain.

B-B+ gain local news attention through lies and exaggeration.

A-A+- band together and create enough fake racism to light up national media and forums across the web.

Got job kids A+ for everyone!!

So are you serious? Haven't half of the mass shootings in the past year been done by minorities ??

Oh and more than 93% of black people murdered in the USA are murdered by minorities...

So tell me again, who do "BLACK LIVES MATTER" more to???? The answer is here: www.worldstarhiphop.com
