All enemies of ISIS must be defeated. Under the guise of defeating ISIS.

The problem with that is for the last decade Iran was arming, and aiding terrorists in Iraq, and Afghanistan.

bootsinbaghdad.blogspot.com...

So Iran was best buds with ISIS until their chickens came home to roost in Syria.

Had Iran stayed out of Iraq, and Afghanistan.

We wouldn't even be talking about Syria.

But nope, and here we are.

There are lots of reasons for the deal being torn up.

Iran's involvement during the war in Iraq is the biggest reason. The current administration chooses to ignore what they have done.

Iran linked to deaths of 500 U.S. troops in Iraq, Afghanistan

How Many US Troops Were Killed By Iranian IEDs in Iraq?

Iran Killing American Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan

Iran Responsible for Killing 14 Percent of U.S. Troops in Iraq

May you get zero stars for your lies.

Not really it depends on who they were aiding Sunnis or Shia, Isis are Sunni who staff upper mgmt , generals and the like part of Saddam's old guard, remember the Iran/Iraq war?? that's where the modern hate came from, Then the U.S foolishly purged all the Shia and Al Maliki refused to share power with them causing a bunch of unemployed pissed off Sunnis to take up arms against the current Iraqi regime ,and how did we got here in the first place?? Our Gov't lied us into a war.

Wait, what? Iran was best buds with ISIS? You think this because Iranian backed militia's would target and kill American forces? You do know those militias and Iran shared a common bond and it's that same bond that makes them enemies of ISIS, right?

No I'm sorry, Iran was never best buds with ISIS.

Last year, Iran ordered it's elite guard to not target US troops in Iraq. This is because Iran wanted progress for a nuclear deal. So now we got Huckabee wanting to break that deal which would directly endanger US troops in Iraq.

Good move Republicans, you guys are always thinking on your feet!

Had Iran stayed out of Afghanistan? The US welcomed Iranian support in Afghanistan in the beginning and for the first time since the 1979 revolution relations between the two were becoming positive. But that all ended when Bush accused Iran of being apart of the axis of evil. Good job republicans!

As far as Iraq goes, we should have never been there in the first place. Good job republicans, and to a smaller extent democrats!

Biggest load of drivel I've ever set my eyes on. You are blaming the rise of Isis on Iran the one regional power actually trying to destroy them and totally ignore the direct/indirect help and funding the west provided them while calling them "freedom fighters". Lies on top of fantasy on top of BS.

Given the fact that ISIS kill Shia Muslims, as they regard them as blasphemers, I'm guessing that Huckacluck is a) desperate for publicity, b) deeply ignorant about basic reality and c) going full retard. What an idiot.

They were soldiers in a war zone.
A war zone dating back since the dark ages between sunni and shia.

War sucks people die, especially soldiers

A warzone they never should of been in the first place. So dont blame Iran blame your politicians for putting them there.

End of the day enemys that kill your soldiers can become freinds, eventually you have to put down the hatchet and get over it.

British killed US troops and burned down your capital, we are now allies, Germany and Japan started a world war, they are now allies, Israel bombed a USN ship and you suck up to them now. So why not get over Iran?

Depends on how it's done. Saudi territory is a completely different can of worms. If the Western countries simply did a covert regime change on the Saudi royals and their powerbrokers, today's situation may have been better. But if the Western countries did to Mecca or Medina what it did to Baghdad or most Afghan cities, it would've ignited something you'd never imagine.

Remember, the people in the Middle East have been dealing with the West & its regime changes since the Ottomans. We've taken out their governments, backed their brutal dictatorships, launched numerous invasions, and funded numerous "rebel" groups & paramilitaries. But it was not a coincidence that the West backed the Saud clan & enabled them to conquer Mecca & Medina, instead of doing it directly. In other words, Western powerbrokers have always known that Mecca is off limits.

Muslim groups from all over the globe would temporarily unite to kick the non-Muslims out of Mecca. To be honest, that's one of the few things that would probably make even me exile from the West, and I'm a pacifist. The reaction would be like the Judeo-Christian world's reaction if China completely annihilated the Vatican, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and Jerusalem with a nuclear barrage. That means the Wailing Wall, the Church of the Nativity, the Vatican Archives, and the countless historical sites in those cities would be destroyed. No matter what the Chinese officials said as a justification, the backlash would be instant & the ___ would definitely hit the fan afterwards.

Unlikely. The moment the US steals a single oil field all of Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America will boycott us. It's why we liberated Kuwait and Iraq rather than colonize them.
