The ME is not Obama's fault, even though he's been president for 7 years, yet Carson isn't even in office and you're already placing the blame on him.


It's more like this: Foreign policy comes down to three things. Military force, non intervention, or promotion through trade. It's more complicated than that, but those are our three options. Either we attack them, ignore them, or trade with them.

Obama has used a mix of these three in various countries. We tried to trade with Iraq (after attacking it), we tried to attack Syria, trade with Kuwait and Saudi, and others we just ignore.

A successful foreign policy is probably going to involve using all three options in different countries. There's 22 countries in the area, with 3 options for each one so that's 3^22 or 313,810,599,609 different possible outcomes. Which of those 313 billion outcomes is Carsons plan, and what makes it the right plan?
