You storm the building chances are high that the hostages will be shot, also risk of death to those doing the storming
You sit it out and wait in the hopes that the hostage takers will release the hostages
You strike up deals in exchange for hostages

Maybe the hostage takers are stalling them from storming ? We don't know what's going on right at the scene, only what we get from the media

If some people in this thread were really worth much, they'd can the xenophobic BS and stuff it until after the bodies are cold for once. Not all that much different in terms of respect than to STFU when black or hispanic turf wars let the bullets fly in the US& kill innocents. Not every person comes from the same tree as the infested, rotting apples do. The mindset of "Hate them, kill them, for what they are", however, is of the same cloth. It isn't that mind blowing considering the EU allowed thousands of undocumented immigrants from countries riddled with radical extremists to be funneled into the continent as "refugees".

Speculation on CNN that this might be terrorists who came in with recent influx of refugees.
