Mizzou Demonstrators Segregate White Allies to Form ‘Black Only Healing Space’

I have this feeling there is a small group who won't be happy until every White person has experienced racism similar to what their grandparents or older generations experienced once upon a time in America. They are ignoring the fact they didn't live through and neither did those they are targeting but no matter, it gives them something "important" to do.

The U.S. -- still stuck in the 50's.

I worry that there may, however, be something even more troubling behind all of this. Simply put, it may be the case that having elected a Black person to the White House....twice....that many of his supporters are telegraphing that anything other than another Black person being elected to the White House is entirely unacceptable to them. Most of theses "demonstrators" are liberal "White" kids. They're successfully using trumped up claims of racist statements and behaviors on college campuses as creating a "hostile environment" to unseat and force the resignation of "White" University presidents. They may be signaling that if a "white" Republican is elected to the White House, they'll try to force his/her resignation.

If that is what they're thinking, this election could well be the undoing of the "Union" as we've known it.

I don't much care one way or the other about that. But.........the Economic dislocation and disruption to the US economy could be devastating.

True, although the economic disruption is already happening around the world. The migration crisis will end up bankrupting Europe and there seems no end to the problems with the Chinese economy.

I agree with you in your first case. There probably is a group that feels that way.

There's an even larger and more evident group that wants to deny every single rational and factual case of racial discrimination and hate crimes that come to light NOT because they are legitimately questioning the facts but MERELY because it is a significant part of their political agendas (they think) to do so.

This thread and the others like it prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Do we know the ousted University President was a Republican?
If a "white" Republican US President is going to set off armageddon...is an old "White" Democrat okay? What about a "Black" Republican?
Maybe we should just play it safe and re-reelect Barack Obama.

Oh, so you have the proof of widespread and systemic racial discrimination throughout the entire MU system? Not just a handful of incidents at the student body level, some of which are no more than word of mouth allegations? And the ones that could be proven as factual with perpetrators that were caught saw those perpetrators disciplined, with expulsion in one case, arrest in the case of Park?

Please, I'm still waiting for it.

Otherwise, your post is merely denying that a few incidents are not widespread systemic discrimination. Please, which students had professors discriminate against them because of skin color? Which professors were denied something because of skin color? If the abuse is systemic and widespread, you should be able to find those grievances too.

You may have a good idea there. Just let Obama stay in office. The office of the White House with him in it is nearly irrelevant and Congress can't accomplish anything.

And what they do first to remove the scapegoated "Other" to achieve the revolution, and then once that occurs, they remove the malcontents who know nothing other than how to agitate. The term is "useful idiots" because they will never be silenced or appeased. So many of these kids who stand up and agitate will be the next ones up against the wall.

The question becomes: Which are you? I know you'll be there helping us all on the train, but will you be in the next batch to go or will you be able to simply shut up and keep your head down, comrade?

It is thinking like this that is part of the problem. Instead of talking through issues intelligently and productively, we have drama queens and agitators standing on the outskirts stirring people up with utter nonsense like this.

No one wants to put people on trains. Well, that's not true. We found out a couple days ago that the extreme Right Wing sure does like Trumps plan on immigration to create a new force to track-down and remove illegal immigrants from the US.

Perhaps you should pull the "train" card when it actually applies and not in cases like this where it makes absolutely no sense.

people really will start to think black lives don't matter, or that their movement doesn't matter at least, because it keeps looking shady. This guy has rahm Emanuel comnections?
