All things of the mind are illusion

I couldn't agree more.

It's sad the illusion is taken for real and how it is based on fear.

Again, spot-on.

I never would have expected you to make one of the best cases for atheism, but here you go and just prove faith in God is a sham. Felicitations!

I believe they do. I guess it depends on how one perceives the difference between feeling(s) and emotions.

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend who was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the World, I will marry you.'

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry Me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind.

The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that, and the thought of looking at them the rest of her life led Her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her that said:

'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they Were yours, they were mine.'

Why did he take out his own eyes instead of just finding a donor? If this is an analogy to the Christ sacrifice, it just goes to show how dumb that was.

Or is there a point you wanted to make with that cute little story?

I don't know. I don't think old testament scriptures jive too well with buddhism. new testament maybe but old? hell the old testament doesn't even jive with the new testament.

I don't think the premis about emptying your mind in Buddhism is the same with the quoted proverbs scripture.

one is about clearing the mind of prior biases so you can see clearly. the other is about convincing the readers into abandoning all critical thinking as a method of social engineering and control.

"trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. in all ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." ie. DONT THINK! Trust me....don't analyze what I say, don't think critically. just believe in me and all I proclaim. give up rational thinking. let me think for you and tell you what you should be doing/feeling. not exactly the follow your inner bliss and emotions it being proporting. see its sorta really far removed from buddhism.

I'm rather unobservant as I didn't notice any rudeness.

That's alright.

I was feeling very of tired, and should know better by now.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I found myself losing track of what really matters in my selfish response. I shouldn't let the way I think about how I feel hold me back.

Without getting poetic, my bad.

Now to track down a fresh cup of Joe.

Cheers

But atheism is the faith/belief that there is no God.

Everybody believes something.
