This is just more garbage to get people to associate normality to the immoral gay life style.
That is ALL that this garbage is.

Immoral? What exactly do you base that on? I think it's immoral to tell other people their sexuality is immoral, because you don't agree with it.

-And I am sure some will still say in response- you just have to let go of your conditioned blocks! It's natural for you, and you just need to let it go! Frustrating as heck.

You're a smart lady. I don't see you falling for that nonsense. Be yourself, and be comfortable with who you are.

How is this guy being taken seriously?

Telling people what they want to hear will often do the trick.

i didn't read the whole four plus pages of responses.
but i'd like to add, that becoming aroused at visual stimuli is different than acting on the impulse the stimuli brings.

Ahh Crap we need to redefine or reclassify the term homophobe.

If straight men like women and those women like women then they are accepting of LGBT, are they not.

So...all straight women are choosing to be straight? Heterosexuality is a choice? What a reckless study that could be used to support conversion therapy and the claim that people choose their sexual orientation.

It's bunk.

Yep. Completely straight here. I think the researchers were doing a lot of wishful thinking.

my only issue: the word "never".

Absolutes are very unscientific. And seem to relate directly to the way the experiment was run.

Also, this study seems to be playing purposefully obtuse when it comes to the advertising angle.

Watch advertising. Pretty much every beer ad in the world features young, attractive people. The game is to make you think that only young, attractive, cool people drink that beer. The idea, of course, is to get you to think that if you want to be or make people think you are young, attractive, and cool, you will drink that beer.

The researcher plays off the idea that men are pretty much known to be walking sex hormone factories and tries to extrapolate that to women by saying that since so much of marketing to young men, men in general tries to tap that walking sex hormone factory, that women are the same. So if women's products use attractive women to market, it must, ergo, mean that women are walking sex hormone factories that are also closeted up and thinking about getting it on with other women.

To me, that says more about the researcher than anything, but I digress.

The reality is that they are playing the beer ad mind game. Those who market women's products want women to see attractive women in their stuff so that women think that their stuff will make them more attractive. Look, Mary Kay makeup makes women beautiful (is worn by beautiful women in the ad), so if I buy it, I will be beautiful too.

For a site that specializes and talks so much about Monarch and MK Ultra ... this should be Bush League stuff to bring up.

Nothing more than propaganda to promote more homosexuality.Although women who are friends do have a stronger bond than two men who are friends.

Decades of tolerance have lead to there being a slippery slope in our society where it wouldn't surprise me if some people actually thought that this is normal.

...while capable of acknowledging beauty or sexiness in other women, I've never seen or known a woman that made me think that I would like to have sex with her.

Yes - I see the beauty - and the sexiness too. The study seems to over think - I think

Sometimes other women make we women feel - more womanly

I like what Anaana said in an earlier post:
Sex is sexy, what a shocker!

It all goes into the pot

:-)

I've been with a fair share of women. Some have been Bisexual, some not.

Some love Gay porn with men, some like Lesbian stuff but would never want to touch a woman, and weren't actually ATTRACTED to women. I've had sex with self described Lesbians.

I've been in threesomes where the girls were shocked an embarrassed they just did that with a friend.

I've been with women that would gag at the idea of another woman and had no interest in seeing any in porn.

My point. Women are unpredictable weirdos.

Indeed we are. There's no shame in admitting it, we're also walking paradoxes

Well, seeing pictures and commercials of chocolate cake, donuts, char-broiled steaks, fajitas, a whole variety of foods, makes me want to eat. I like that little quip I have seen lately....derp,derp, about this study.

At 345 participants, I'd call this study BS.

That is nowhere big enough of a sample size to draw an accurate conclusion.

I do not think that many straight men will have problems with this study.

I do not think many bi or gay women or men will have problems with this study.

Great way to alienate straight women.
