Eyes are eyes. If there was one witness, how does there not being two witnesses negate the one person's testimony? Two people can lie just as well as one. And why would they lie? Bias, right? *grin* At any rate, I'm off to other threads. Thanks for the discussion and replies?

The fairly obvious answers are; they were not charged with lewdness or indecent behavior and all other charges were dropped. The anonymous witness and the officer were not considered credible, nor were his actions.

I really don't have a problem with you not liking public displays of affection, as long as you are balanced with how you tackle it. If you only feel the need to speak up when you see a homosexual couple do it and say nothing (and stew silently about it) when it is a heterosexual couple, then there is something more going on there.

I also don't have a problem with you speaking up about the situation. It's your right. I DON'T agree with trying to take matters into your own hands just because you are offended. If it's really a problem and the offending party won't stop after asking them, then there are proper ways to escalate the situation without causing a huge scene. Contact management for one.

Thanks for the laugh, Freth. The bolded part should honestly be the motto of bigots across this site, and the rest of your post is just comedy gravy. You feel like more of a man by "picking sides" and making these wild assumptions, I guess?

Forums are for debate, brains are for understanding that every issue in existence doesn't require you to "pick sides" and be openly biased against the "other side" without any good reason. Based on what you just wrote, I don't even think you have firm beliefs in what you're saying, and are instead just parroting Limbaugh or something. Again, thanks for the laughs!

I'm trying to move to other threads, but I'll bite this one last time.

Limbaugh? Wait, weren't you just chiding me for making assumptions? Hypocrisy much? Nicely done, you won the argument for me. Cynicism--check. Narcissism--check. Winning--fail. Good luck in your quest to elevate yourself above others, you're not doing a very good job, but I commend you on the effort. *exits the thread*

What does sexually harrased mean?

As a hetero woman growing up in the 60s/70s ---- we could compare notes.

When you're trying to "make it big" in the porn circuit....what better way to hit the big time than with National News Coverage. The majority of comments on this thread alone are commenting on how "attractive the couple is".

Great job making this virtual non-issue into a huge deal in the name of PC.

That scratch on her nose? Split open my ass!

Also, you know where that "missing tape" went?

Straight to DVD.

But please, by all means, argue petty semantics and keep bumping this drivel to the top of the Recent Posts.

I did my part.
Now continue to do yours.

MARKETING!

Sensitive? I'm not sensitive about it. I just gave my opinion about this thread being a waste of space and left it at that. If I was sensitive about it I would have ranted on and on about it. Trust me.

Yes, you've stated this multiple times already despite this being a different sub-forum and your other thread has been buried for days, but nobody is ranting on about it. Your starting to give off a vibe that you don't like the fact that this thread has received more attention.

I am shocked and appalled at the responses here! Shocked and appalled! It's as if you people are analyzing facts and making sound judgments based on those facts. Highly inappropriate. Especially in America.

Lesbians! Unite for the cause of groping, public nudity, general indecency, and childish behavior! We'll stop these bullies who want to obtain their groceries without being disgusted. Gross heteros.

There are people who don't like lots of things. Spiders, snakes, nails on a chalkboard, etc. We are not intolerant or bigoted because it is in our nature to dislike things that are strange, weird, wrong or against nature. That is how we are built and how we are made.

It is the "other side" calling the normal people wrong, bigots and intolerant that are trying to demonize normal and natural. Usually because they are not. So embrace what you are...isn't that what the gay community says also? Celebrate what you are, what you feel and what makes you repulsed. And if that happens to be something unnatural such as two men having sex with one another...that was nature's gift to you. A bad feeling when something unnatural occurs.

He could care less, posting is his job. 9 hours a day, including two 15 min breaks, 30 min lunch. That's why he never replies at night. Just look at his posting history, starts at 6:30 CST and ends at 3:30.

Except the officer was not called and was not on duty.
So your scenario is not adapted to what is fact.

This argument can be taken in circles and circles. Now I can say "Stop being intolerant of my intolerance of your intolerance" - but we're not going to get that ridiculous, are we?

I will point out though that's it's pointless to argue with people who make so many assumptions (like how you obviously assume that I'm gay - I'm not - but I am standing up for what I think is right).

"This couple didn't respect themselves or the people around them. If they had, this never would've happened. Instead, this was attention whoring/grandstanding and baiting to get a rise out of people. It had nothing to do with PDA or love."

Where's your proof of this? Put on some clothes, Freth - your bias is showing, naked as can be.

Given the lack of a video, we're left with descriptions by the witnesses. If groping and kissing occurred, that's pretty much a given that they were going beyond what is considered acceptable public display of affection. If they were homosexual, it stands to reason that, given past observations, they were making a public scene on purpose. Am I making wild assumptions? Possibly. Since we don't have enough information, the information we do have can paint a picture somewhat. Did I take creative license? Sure. Am I biased toward heterosexual vs homosexual? Well yeah, I'm heterosexual, it's natural to pick sides and make observations based on my own perspective. Isn't that what a forum is for?

Damn Freth you've got us figured right out.
Making a public scene on purpose is totally the national lesbian pastime.
Nothing better than getting actually physically assaulted [can i stress that again? physically assaulted] for displaying a nebulously defined amount of affection for our partners.
And of course the best part is when the fact that we get beaten up gets swept aside in favour of the fact that our being gay means we must be doing it just to get a reaction. unff! if i told you how that made me feel you'd think it would justify another savage beating.

You're right. I'm a shill. You got me. That's what you want to hear right?

Gotta love it when people have nothing left to argue about and start attacking the person they are arguing with.

"Spiders and snakes" are not strange, weird, wrong or against nature. "Nails on a chalkboard" is an annoying sound. I see the comparison you're trying to make, but these are some strange examples.

How is it "in your nature" to care about what other people do when it has no effect on you whatsoever? As a straight man, I have no interest in watching gay men kiss or have sex either, but I'm not going to throw a fit and act like a toddler if I do. Just because something grosses you out doesn't mean it's evil, weird, strange, wrong or against (your definition of) nature. We see homosexual behavior in most animal species. Are you now going to tell me that animals are not part of nature?

So, you're choosing to believe this side of the story.

And you are choosing to believe the women are opportunists.

I choose to wait for the facts.

The cop has witnesses in the report it seems. Looks a lot more credible so far.

Making a clear observation isn't attacking someone, but I guess calling another members thread a waste of space isn't either.
