It was a rhetorical question.
Obviously, Anonymous cannot be sued for libel.
Which is problematic, as, without providing proof, Anonymous could still claim they hacked you and found you were a member in good standing with the KKK...and you'd have no legal recourse available to clear your name or reputation.

LOL you had to throw in the word 'progressive' like it's a dirty word. Well I guess that's to be expected.

And mine was a tongue in cheek comment. :p

Anonymous have now gone into politics? They used to be about exposing globalist agendas, war pigs, backing wikileaks, Snowden and OWS.....now they've resorted to calling out half a dozen whiteys, all from one side of the great divide, for being in the KKK.

If this were true, I think that whoever exposed it would have no problem putting their name to this potential political game-changer - but Oh no - "anonymous" has released it.

stinky stinky US politics using internet propaganda to NOT help the country, but instead focus on the players.

Political mudpit indeed.

Maybe there was a mistake, and this is the list of office holders who are not in the Kkk.

Pfft anonymous is this the best you can do?

There are more important issues that need to come to light but you bring up useless crap and try to make it seem like your doing the world a favor maybe you should go back to shutting down play station or Xbox.

I have to ask though, what the hell kind of pull does this worthless kkk group have in today's world? Oh yea nothing.

Interesting story, if true...but where is the proof? Why wouldn't that be included in the story?
And, if not true, how do these people sue 'anonymous' for lible?

Could they sue the news outlets who report false and uncorroborated stories?

Honest question, I don't know.

Even if true why would it matter to anyone?

Is their a crime not spoken about?

What an excellent study in confirmation bias!

Apparently, Anonymous is releasing additional info on Nov. 5th.

This is an amazing expression of pure honesty!

Thank you, deadeyedick! How refreshing!

I either take Anonymous's word that these names are legit.

Or,

I take some ATS member's word or worse yet, a politicians denial that they are not.

I am waiting on the sidelines to Deny Ignorance.

Honestly it doesn't really surprise me anymore. Once you see comments like this on Facebook saying how they believe so and so seems like a member and then they turn out to be one. Just wonder how much traction this is going to get this is a start of some great things ( hopefully ) to come.

Also how is this any different from any other group such as WBC?

They are not harming anyone.

This could be big if true.

One way or the other this could affect who controls the senate.

Some may feel it is an attack on southern white people and the affect could be the opposite of turning these people out of office.

On the other hand this could affect these people winning office again

I suspect the MSM won’t advertise this.

Also this might blow come to nothing if the MSM doesn't advertise it or think its too hot to handle like getting sued

Of course the MSM can report this if its news and can't be sued...I think.

Any Lawyers in the house want to answer that?

Lots of potential libel here. I do not believe the source is credible and I do not expect there to be much real fallout.

It's also interesting that people point out the Republicans. You DO know that the Republican Party was actually founded as an anti-slavery party and that in the hey day of the KKK it was considered the terrorist arm of the Democratic Party with many prominent Democrats as members.
