So it appears Lindsey Graham is pissed off In the hearing they talk about everything from the south China sea to the artic to middle east. Its a hot discussion and there seems to be alot of confusion and anger about our position on a variety of topics. so what say you ATS about the hearing and what our elected officals have to say?

In this thread the topic of discussion is various military Armed Service hearings, and the topics they discuss in them. Please feel free too share your own ideas on the topics presented.

US Senator Dissapointed Defense Secretary

U.S. Strategy in the Middle East Pt1 and 2

Defense Secretary Ashton Carter and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair General Joseph Dunford testified at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on U.S. strategy in the Middle East. Senators' questions were focused primarily on U.S. operations in Syria and Iraq, and the Obama administration’s approach to balancing military operations against ISIS,* and the political situation with the Russia- and Iran-backed President Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria.

At the United States Senate Committee on Armed Services, Chair John McCain grilled Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter.

During questioning, Carter admitted that neither Russia, nor the Syrian Army has targeted none of the US-trained terrorists.

This despite MSM reports of the opposite. However, they state that Russia has targeted and largely destroyed the so-called "moderate" terrorists. Russia has confirmed that they are targeting all terrorists in Syria. They offered not to attack the American trained terrorists if the US would give coordinates of where NOT to attack. The US has refused that offer.

Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said Tuesday that the U.S. will begin "direct action on the ground" against ISIS forces in Iraq and Syria, aiming to intensify pressure on the militants as progress against them remains elusive. "We won't hold back from supporting capable partners in opportunistic attacks against ISIL, or conducting such missions directly whether by strikes from the air or direct action on the ground," Carter said in testimony before the Senate Armed Services committee, using an alternative name for the militant group. Carter pointed to last week's rescue operation with Kurdish forces in northern Iraq to free hostages held by ISIS. Carter and Pentagon officials initially refused to characterize the rescue operation as U.S. boots on the ground. However, Carter said last week that the military expects "more raids of this kind" and that the rescue mission "represents a continuation of our advise and assist mission."

Lindsey Graham is a Zionist first loon bent on serving Israel first and the actual interests of the US Constitution and the people of the US after. He would be happy with a new cold war with Russia if it protects his Zionist masters position. How does his position protect the US? It does not. Syria has no resources we require. They are strategic only to Israel not the US. When will the US finally cut and run from the support of Israel first and the US a distant second? Israel is suposed to be this grand ally in the region. The US serves them not the other way around. USA is just the Golem servant of Israel's Zionist Likud faction. Graham is obviously a tool for the military industrial complex but when you mix religion, politics and corporatism it makes for horrible policy decisions.

I would say that every man here, from the senators to the secretary of defence, are incompetent. The only person, who appears with any statue, is the general.

A. The Islands in the pacific. They say this is a reef ... yes, it's not a man made Island, except the reef is exploitet. Exploitet or not, is irrelevant. The real issue here, is that these waters are China's waters ... period. They are not the responsibility of the US, nor Australia ... but the responsibility, of close proximity, to China. These Islands have NO International waters status ... as International waters, only means ... and I re-iterate, ONLY MEAN, waters for commercial transport. Any such vessel, would have automatically avoided the area ... even without the Chinese building anything there. So, all US points here, are bogus ... they are acting as Pirates, taking the steps of Britain at old and defending their West India Company, and opium routes. There stand here being of "suspicious" nature, and one that SHOULD make anyone question if they don't have something "underwater" in the area, that they are scared the Chinese will find. Not to mention, oil exploitation in the region. ON this issue, the Chinese are 100% correct.

B. Syria, and the middle east. You can't fight a war, with one hand behind your back. If you believe, that a military intervention is necessary you use it, without prejudice to finish it as quickly as possible, with all the force you need to accomplish it. If this is not possible, than a military solution is not viable and other means should be sought. In this, Sec Carter is 100% correct. A military solution, to the US interests in the middle east is not possible. Therefore a political solution must be acquired. However, such a solution is not possible with the rebels "winning". Thus, any such discussion must be done directly with the Russians ... they've already stated, that Assad removed is acceptable.

C. Refugees and safe zones. Shouldn't Kurdistan be a safe zone? Is it acceptable, that Turkey bombs the Kurds, while the Kurds are one of the people the US should actually be fighting for? What I am saying here, is that US policy as at odds with itself. On one side, they want Assad gone and support some political force in Syria ... ok, accept that. But in so doing, that same force sees ISIL as their "Enemy of my enemy, is my friend", which makes these same political forces that the US is supporting ... dangerous. So, the Russians are correct ... the "threat" must be removed first, than political discussions ... ISIL must be dealt with, first.

D. Guantanamo ... the senator spoke about 5 people "charged" with killing 3000 americans in the 9/11 event. You think this is legal? The US is acting here, as a judge, jury and executioner ... is that acceptable? No. First, 5 man kill 3000 americans, America wages a world war and causes the deaths of millions of people around the world.

Now I ask you gentlemen, if these 5 men should be kept under lock and key, and perpetually tortured for killing 3000 people ... what should the world do to the US, that has murdered millions of people?

Ask yourself, this question.

US leadership, is incompetent. The left hand, is fighting the right hand ... and vice versa. As a result, the entire world has been ablaze for over a decade, in fact for almost 20 more years now.

As the US and it's allies, can't seem to get their act together ... there is only one solution to the problem. A polarized world, that is held in check with the threat of mutual extermination. Our only hope for world peace, is that China and Russia step up and confront the US ... wether we like the Chinese or not, is irrelevant. Wether we think Russians are a bunch of vodka drinking morons or not, is irrelevant. What is relevant, is that we have a completely incompetent people on board, in the western world ... and unless somebody steps up and starts "shooting back", they'll continue perpetually with their madness.

The only thing I see in this senator committee, is incompetence. Except for Mr. Graham, I may not agree with the man ... but he has conviction, and if things had been done his way, we probably wouldn't in this situation. Even though sec. Carter is right on some issues, this is a war ... and you can't fight a war, with one hand behind your back. Graham wouldn't, and thus he'd win ... with some major casualties, but then casualties do mount up with time as well.

Senator Graham just showed beyond any doubt whatsoever, of just how insanely incompetent to the point of Neanderthal negligence, the Obama administration truly is when it comes to foreign policy, and critical thinking in any form.

The Obama administration is like a plethora of short buses all driving to their final destination, boys town.

Oh You mean John McCain the only politician that actually KNOWS "War is Hell"? Yet He has lied about how many scenarios just so to 'engage' ? How long have the WarMongers wanted to get Syria?

Israel should be proud that ISIS™ is using their playbook to carve out some new digs, just like the Zionist™ did in establishing "Chosen Land for Chosen People"..

Wouldn't it just make more sense in declaring Long Island Israel? There are more Jews, actual folks who practice the religion™ of Judaism, and not using that label to further an agenda, in New York than in Israel.. Moishe (Moses) only turned in 2 slabs and 'forgot' the other slab and scrolls...

To be "fair" I'll even concede that there 'was' a WMD in Iraq and that is/was the 'Stargate' It is now in Ohio.

BUT.... Because the U.S. Dep't. of Defense in doing 'offensive maneuvers' 6,000 miles away under the 'cloak of defense' I do KNOW that in 2001 Afghanistan supplied 7% of the world's supply of opium. Since 'the war/invasion/take-over' they now produce close to 88%. It has grown 80%+ since TheTaliban was run out.. Any issues w/heroin?

I only mention this, NOT to de-rail Your thread, but to advise anyone venturing down this road, there is no "end" Each layer of the onion skin makes it reek even more..

I KNOW, maybe these turds will find religion™ ?..... hahaha

It seems that McCain is all riled up over Obama not doing more in Syria and things seem to be escalating. John McCain says Cameron's statement on Syria is disgraceful. Stirring the pot as usual. . .. . . .
