Just think of it this way. Do you think that the reps are the one who write each bill? They have staff lawyers for that. So how is this different? I mean I kind of agree with you but its something the man can easily learn and gain an understanding of. I don't think Carson has a chance but I just think some of the criticism is obviously biased because no one seems to understand that these are stuffed suits that pass along precrafted legislation that they sometimes choose to read.

Any weakness can become a strength.

Carson/Paul

That would cover much of the issues raised here.

zOMG, I am now watching the last half hour of the debate.

Fiorina says "no" to allowing workers to have access to their "retirement funds."

Where and when, did the good Doctor say, fossils are the devil's work? Or are you slandering him, for him? He's an MD. You think they hand those credentials out to right wing, religious nut jobs? And so what if he does? That/this makes him a bad leader? ... Patton believed he was reincarnated..like that holds "scientific" proof/weight?. ...You have a hate and tolerance issue.

And now Kasich is addressing "student loans" and "education" -

but he did NOT answer the question of the incredible default going on right now.

Student loans need to be forgiven, beginning right now. Not just for current HS seniors who are looking at college...so that they can get that education...but, for ALL of the people, no matter their age, who have outstanding student debt.

We believed it would improve our ability to earn a decent living. We signed up, in good faith. And then, we were let down.

**************

Now he's talking about having graduates do "public service" to work off their debt.

Let me tell ya, folks, I've looked into that. I was in the non-profit "Community Mental Health" system during and after the years that I was interning and going to school. I got my MASTER'S degree (at age 42) and never earned more than $26,000 per year (this was from 1999 to 2005).

Now, the social service industry is being choked to death. Even while people need it more than ever.
Yes, I've looked into going into the Peace Corps, or "volunteering" for two years at a hospital or something, to "work off that debt." And I'd actually be fine with that (never mind that it's indentured servitude - I am willing to work it off...)....but NO ONE will call me back. NO ONE will respond when I offer that.

I even applied to be an intern on Capitol Hill for my own Congressman!

The last job interview I had that was related to my degree went very well. The woman was enthusiastic, and said I was hired right then and there.....but in the end, the bureaucrat hiring HR guy said, "We want you, but you have to jump through all these OTHER red-tape hoops, and undergo ANOTHER background check... The stuff we did before doesn't count. Oh, and this job - it's for NO guaranteed hours, and you'd be ON CALL 24/7/365, and only $13/hour for when you work."

Excuse the hell out of me, but I said, "No, thank you. I will not jump through any more of your hoops, and I will not be at your beck and call 24/7/365."

So -
anyway - personal disclosure sort of rant there, sorry - over and out - but, I'm EXHAUSTED by this mess.

What I find hilarious is the fact that you folks think the circus presented was a debate.
I see folks on this site all the time being all disgusted because people are making money in their quest to spread information. What on earth do you think the msm is doing with these charades they're calling "debates"?
You can't be serious. Deny ignorance indeed....ignorance is calling what was presented a "debate."

Well good, old and wise one. You explain how it works. Explain how a country is in dept for more dollars than it ever printed? Maybe Value? Like gold, labor...land? Don't slap leather if you can't shoot...I'll wait for your "education" to explain what the "Doctor" doesn't know. I'm willing to wager his "financial" situation is better than yours.

What's the "issues" as you see them? You brought it up. Are your "issues" really issues? Please deffend/elaborate on the "issues". So that we know your issues are really the countries "issues". The "issues" get tossed around a lot. But I never hear what they are. Our issues never seem to be mentioned.

In fact, it's hard for me to grasp why Bible-believing people who want to proselytize even come here at all.
Thanks for asking, though.

Though I am a believer in Christianity, I'd be lying through my teeth if I claimed to give a damn about your soul (not singling you out here, just stating a fact related to the present discussion.) Your call, your choice, not my circus, not my monkeys. All I am trying to proselytize anyone toward is a little bit of tact, decorum, and tolerance towards the beliefs of a wide swath of humanity.

I did not watch the debate(s), as I have little interest in watching Donald Trump wag his tongue and flap his gums. That said, I do not believe Dr. Carson would have attempted to make his religious beliefs a centerpiece of his participation in a political debate. From everything I've heard the man speak on, politics-wise, I've found him to be level headed and, while clearly a man of convictions, but in no way a man who was out to religiously convert the nation.

Allow me to share a secret with you... I don't believe the world was created in 6 days. That said, I'm also intelligent enough to realize that isn't an argument that has jack squat to do with fulfilling the demanding role of POTUS. Of course, considering Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton both believe we can slaughter the goose that lays the golden eggs and collect a lifetime of gold from her dead carcass, I suppose I can understand why "fairy tales," fables, and parables serve as such dangerous learning tools in some peoples' eyes.

Wowza.

Thanks for that. You're right, the creation of the world has NOTHING to do with being the POTUS. You're right, there is no "religious test." I said that earlier. I also asked: So, why the hell does HE KEEP bringing it up?

WHY is it that Carson keeps bringing it up, or responding to anything anyone says about it? Hmm??

WHY?

Because he is pandering to the Fundies, that's why.

Go back to the OP, and you'll see I've already said that!

Mockery? He "makes a mockery"? Lol! As opposed to what or whom? I have no doubt he was thrown in, to add to the Rebublican "debate". Probably as dead weight. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a lamb to catch the wolf. You're a prime exaple of that. ... And you fell for it.

HE ISN'T!!!!!!!
Jesus Christ, his comments on creationism and the world being created in 6 days stem from a 2011 Celebration of Creation lecture he spoke at. All of the rest of this sensationalist horsecrap you're spewing is from the media in reaction to what Donald Trump said this weekend trying to sow seeds of discord in a passive aggressive, dare I say asshole, manner in which Trump operates in. The media dug into the SDA church and is writing about the tenants of their faith. IT IS NOT CARSON always talking about it.

For someone who grouses about the Jerry Springer show, I have to wonder why you're front and center chanting "Jerry! Jerry!" over a non story the media turned into a circus. Dance puppets, dance! The media commands you!

Vote at all? Of course I vote. I'm an American. When I vote. I vote for the less of two evils... Bassed on standards, I was raised with. I try not to think about me. But what best suites my countries values and American values. Do I want someone that's handled and spent other peoples money? Or do I want someone that worked for a dollar and knows what they need and not just what they want? As it stands now...we have no one to vote for, untill election day. I'm not going to waist a "round" untill then... I'll vote for whichever evil, leaves me and mine alone the longest.

Satan's plan.....get rid of God by deceiving humanity through Darwin's theory of evolution.

Dr. Ben Carson, a pediatric neurosurgeon and author of six best-selling books, gave a talk about creationism vs. evolution and said he believes the theory Charles Darwin “came up with was something that was encouraged by the adversary,” Satan, the Devil.

You don't have be to smart or have a critical mind to get an MD. You have be persistent, follow rules and be able to memorize a lot of stuff. Ben Carson has to be one of the thickest people I've ever seen.

If ideology is why you vote, support a person, then you must be an unabashed supporter of socialism. You're certainly within your right, but expect resistance, because there are many of us who would be happier without government oversight and more freedoms.

I said the debate reminded me of the Jerry Springer show, and that the media is obviously using this as a game. A circus, a reality TV spectacle.

Dance puppets, dance! The media commands you!

That's EXACTLY what I'm saying, dude!!!!

It's more like I'm pointing and laughing at the show, not chanting "Jerry! Jerry!"

Okay, never mind then.
I've made my points to the best of my ability. If you refuse to respect them as legit, then, whatever.
And yes, Trump IS an asshole. But he's got the Republican voters in his pocket, and the stage focused on himself, front and center.

Think it over.
I gotta log off and get some rest now.

Exactly! Broadcast media is making millions and millions---then the YouTube crowd is making more with each click.
So naturally they're going to put on the most divisive show they can present. Serious discussion/debate of the issues would NOT get the views that this circus has already garnered. They wanted a rise out of the populace and from the posts I've seen here---the dancing monkeys performed quite well indeed.

I think the "resistance" is because people don't really understand what Sanders' platform is, and jump to "HE'S A COMMIE!" without even listening. They don't bother to do research, read links, or watch speeches; they just REFUSE to even entertain the idea.

It's what's to be expected with an ill-educated, overworked, struggling populace. They're too exhausted to even listen, let alone 'get' the points.

Have a great night, cowboy.
