It's a great thing to exercise a freedom. To join or not join a political party. Too bad we don't have the same freedoms when it comes to healthcare. But good for you for exercising a right.

You have to join a political party to get healthcare?

News to me. What country do you live in?

You need socialism to get healthcare? Whatever did we do before it was a mandate?

I'm responding to absurdity. I didn't realize that required a call-out.

I'm sure there are many things you don't realize:

I did not say anything about "needing socialism to get healthcare."

The individual mandate was a Republican idea.

I've always said it was a bad idea.

As usual, you're responding to what you hear, not what was said.

Are you voting for Sanders? Have you registered as a Democrat? Do you have any thoughts about either?

That's the actual topic here.

The idea of registering as a Democrat or a Republican is disgusting to me...

It is to me, too. I get a little physically ill at the thought. I've never felt it was important, as there was never anyone I wanted to vote FOR. This time it's different. I still hate the idea of playing the game, and will become "unaffiliated" as soon as possible, but I feel I need to vote in the primary and support Bernie as much as I can. If he lost the primary, I'd feel like crap. This is no time to rest on my laurels.

It's very important to vote...Look around...Look at Europe...They claim 5,000,000 muzlims have come into Europe this year...Riots in many of the major cities...They refuse similate...Denmark, Sweden, Paris, Berlin...Even Australia...

Look at the illegal aliens in our Country...muzlims, Mexicans, Orientals...95% of them receive welfare benefits...That's billions of dollars every year...We have 95,000,000 people who have given up looking for work...The few jobs that are available are given to the illegals since they will work cheaper...It's a mess...

Look at the political parties...They are both taking us to the same place...They have different plans to get us there but we'll get there all the same...

There are two people running for President who don't fit in...Who are not part of the system...Who are not accepted by the political parties...Well 3 actually but only two that count...One is Bernie Sanders and the other is Donald Trump...

I will be voting for Trump...Trump wants to shut down the borders and keep the illegal out...Unfortunately Bernie loves the open borders...The illegal invasion is destroying our country...There is no longer any industry for young people to get a job with...Trump will work to get those jobs back to give our young people a chance at a future...

I would encourage you to really look to see what kind of shape our country is in and I would encourage you to vote for Trump...But regardless, vote for someone...Our country is dying due to our mainstream politicians...

I'm taking the George Carlin approach this year and, most likely, for the rest of my life. I'm not going to vote. I don't support any of these bozos and don't feel the need to all of a sudden get excited about someone just because there is an upcoming election. It's already a done deal. A winner has already been chosen.

I only voted one or two times, cant remember. But I am smart enough to know Sanders is Perot 2.0

I wish I could feel so important in the world.

I do feel lucky, that by chance, I was born in a free secular country.

And that I have options on who I want in charge.

Yes. I have voted for many years, I've just never been a Democrat or Republican.

I can see the shape our country is in. I'm very politically active and involved. I do disagree with your positions, however and I wouldn't vote for Donald Trump if he were the only candidate running.

BS .. Look at the official numbers instead of quoting from either questionable website and you all are wrong.

The real unemployment rate is defined in U6 by the BLS. That rate is usually the double of the "political" number.

Looking at the last 8 years, Unemployment was increased by an average of 60% with a peak in 2010 of almost double.

OK...Cherry Picking and goal post moving...Lets play along and now talk the U6 unemployment rate...

December 2008 Bush in office...U6 at 13.7% and climbing
Up neary DOUBLE from the prior year.

January 2009...the month Pres. Obama walks into the oval office....U6 at 14%

By October 10 months after Pres. Obama takes office later U6 peaks at 17%

AND THEN for the next 7 years U6 Unemployment DROPS CONSISTENTLY...Now back down to 10% and still falling.

What don't you understand?

U-6 on top
U-3 on bottom

Both rates dropping like a stone after last GOP Presidency.

Otherwise you need to use the data tool on BLS to obtain that data. I cross verified the data in the chart with the raw data and it's spot on.

So yeah, it's pretty bad and I don't think the liberals understand the concept of running a country as every statistics shows.

It's only bad if you want a high unemployment rate...can't help crazy...

Forbes:

What about the Labor Participation Rate?

Much has been made about the poor results of the labor participation rate, which has shown more stubborn recalcitrance as this rate remains higher even as jobs have grown.

“The labor participation rate adds in jobless part time workers and those in marginal work situations with those seeking full time work. This is not a “hidden” unemployment. It is a measure tracked since 1900 and called ‘U6.’ today by the BLS.

“Labor participation is affected much less by short-term job creation, and much more by long-term demographic trends. As this chart from the BLS shows, as the Baby Boomers entered the workforce and societal acceptance of women working changed, labor participation grew.

“Now that ‘Boomers’ are retiring we are seeing the percentage of those seeking employment decline. This has nothing to do with job availability, and everything to do with a highly predictable aging demographic.

“What’s now clear is that the Obama administration policies have outperformed the Reagan administration policies for job creation and unemployment reduction. Even though Reagan had the benefit of a growing Boomer class to ignite economic growth, while Obama has been forced to deal with a retiring workforce developing special needs. "

www.forbes.com...

Follow that?...even when you cherry pick the U-6, your argument is the opposite of documented, statistical reality...

Just to set you straight, I have been fairly liberal and progressive on many issues, and somewhat conservative on others, but I've never been a member of the Democratic party. That's just fact, whether you like it or not.

And I'm TOTALLY a feminist. So, you're wrong there, too.

I have never been a member of a political party in my 50 years and was a confirmed Ron Paul advocate until I did my own research about Obama.

I think I'm going to trust my own memory and posting history when it comes to how I think and feel, instead of some random stranger I've never heard of, trying to tell me who I am...

who are you really trying to fool. Most older members know who you are

I'm not trying to fool anyone. I've been here for 10 years, a lot of people do know who I am. It would be stupid to try to fool anyone. And I'm not stupid...

why you have yet to be called out on your BS is beyond me

I'm sure a lot of things are...

maybe because your moderate in your responses but honestly

"Honestly" what? What's your point here? I have not lied, nor tried to fool anyone. "Honestly", indeed!

Doesn't really matter who runs for President because they are nothing more than Bankster minions. It's really quite simple, we have all been systematically brainwashed or if you prefer....indoctrinated to pledge allegiance to a flag of an artificial entity from the time we started school! That is simple proof of your indoctrination. There need be no more! When I said it was quite simple that is because it boils down to one thing and one thing only.......GREED! Your President no matter if a Democrat or a Republican has a CEO and the equivalent of stockholders to answer to. The top of the heap begins at the House of Rothschild. They OWN America through the Monetary system. They control the money and whoever controls the money, controls everything! All of your three letter agencies are Federal or in other words, they are controlled via the Bankers, or Banksters as I prefer to call them. The Rothschilds are the top of the Pyramid and the Rockefellers their American counterpart, for lack of a better term. The New World Order started in 1913 with the creation of the third Central Bank. All three had Rothschild backers. Money runs the world and the Rothschilds, who incidentally set the price of gold, have all the money. All one need to realize is that. You think you live in a free country, then look around you. You ARE NOT FREE and you never will be no matter who the President is, because the real leaders of the world will do the same thing that they did when Kennedy was fooling with the money, they will assassinate him using their minions, who were in Kennedys case, GHW Bush and Lyndon Johnson, who replaced Kennedy and immediately stopped printing the United States notes Kennedy was printing. He was the last President to mess with the Banksters. Just look up the Battle of Waterloo and Nathan Rothschild and you will know that these people create wars, topple nations and do it all with your tax dollars. The President is a figurehead, just like any other corporation!

Sanders is done. Stick a fork in him done.

Why? Team Obama cut a deal with Team Hillary. Now the weight and resources of the White House will be used to push Hillary forward. All the dirty tricks, all the fake polling numbers and stolen votes etc, will now be at her disposal.

Just watch as polls are now already beginning as if by magic to start to show Hillary gaining and Sanders fading. It is already happening in the land of polling numbers and yet as I look around the internet, at friends, etc, it's the opposite of what should be happening. Bernie should have energy similar to a Howard Dean or early Obama, and yet the mass media story is that he is beginning to fade, Hillary is now inevitable again, and this time, not only will the primary day election results go along with that, but so will the polling numbers from all the major polling firms.

In other words, the difference this time, is that things have gotten bad enough that they have gotten to the point where if you have the White House, you can lay the groundwork for stealing elections by stealing the polls, by stealing the only way to verify if an election was probably stolen or not.

Personally, I don't agree with Bernie's policies. I think the math does not add up on his big idea programs. But it ought to have been something that was debated by a free media, something that was handled by the process called free speech in the free market of ideas. We're so far from that now.

Not much to look forward to other than them trying the same scams on Trump, because he's a bit too big to kick around like that. If they try it and he makes a stink about it, things could get pretty wild, although perhaps that is wishful thinking.

In the interest of disclosure, after much thought and consideration, I simply cannot bring myself to sign up with a political party. I am vehemently against the idea of them and I won't compromise my morals.

Most likely, my single vote won't get Bernie on the ballot, so I'll just have to do the best I can at the time.
