While we are all waiting like it is Christmas for us AvGeeks for the new bomber (BoLock or NorthGrum), a picture was posted on the Chinese internet and cropped up on the Alert5 blog of a Su-34-like fighter with a side by side cockpit arrangement.

Are the Chinese about to start cloning the Su-34 like they have the Su-27?

They've been working on it since at least 2013. It's designated as the J-17.

This is the J-17. China's SU-34 copy. Looks like they decided to go a different route than Russia on the forward canards.

I meant J-17.

The J-18 is their third stealth fighter. It has nothing to do with the Su-34. The J -18 reportedly used a similar wing to the Su-33, and is believed to be a VSTOL.

I like at the end the illustration seams to show the jet blast ripping apart the deck.
