Earthquake felt around South Asia. It was pretty bad in Delhi, also felt across Pakistan. Local new reports saying its Magnitude 7.7, Epic centre unknown so far

Ahh, I see the edit. Really hoping everyone involved is safe and sound. That's not the normal 2.0 quake ATS freaks out over, that's a BIG one.

Some Pakistanis i know saying its 8.1 Magnitude Earthquake striking Islamabad and Rawalpinidi, its all twitter news and word of mouth, Earthquake seems to be centered around Pakistan. If this earthquake has struck in a city in south asia, then things will be grim...

Either way, 8.1 or 7.5... It's certainly something to get weak in the knees over.

I hope injuries and such are minor.. Thoughts and Prayers for those people.

Terrifying. Really hoping that's not the case.

Think we should all say some prayers, and if you don't like that idea send some good thoughts.

A silver lining to this disastrous news is that it is relatively far from bodies of water, albeit the Indian Ocean is somewhat close. Lets all pray that it doesn't trigger a tsunami warning. Hitting in a South Asian location, it will most likely be densely populated, here's hoping for the best.

The USGS said the quake was centered around 28 miles south-southwest of Jarm, Afghanistan. It also revised the preliminary magnitude from 7.7 to 7.5.

Seeing as how all reports are roughly one hour old and already over a dozen confirmed deaths, I'd suggest we give the numbers some time to "settle," and hope for the best.

Side note: has any EQ ever been upgraded in magnitude post-event? They always seem to get notched back a couple points, never up...

More deaths and severity in Afghanistan. The Indian PM just offered sending the army for help. That should be interesting.
