Tides of Life

The tides of life, they constantly pull at me.
Pulling me, pulling me, to the depths of sea.
They keep me from ever reaching the shore,
Pulling me, pulling me, forever more.

The waves, they constantly push me around,
Pushing me, pushing me, farther on down.
I fight my way back to the surface, and then
They push me and pull me back under again.

What I see when I surface is what keeps me going,
It's my destination that makes all this worth doing.
Otherwise... I'd give in, let the sea take me away,
Instead of fighting the onslaught of wave after wave.

Thanks,

Dude I really admire this poem. It reminded me, subtly, Become One with the Ocean.

Conversely the Ocean might be symbolic of depression, escaping its waters, go outside.
