To me, anger is a loss of control of governance of emotions and mind, a 'giving up' or accepting defeat, or taking the easy way (coping out).

Finding that which affords us our daily survival is the main priority - there is no getting away from this reality. If we are so inclined, then we are free to pursue our passions. To achieve gratitude within a soul-depleating societal framework designed to take away the most desireable and positive of human traits is a feat, indeed.

All of those are a part of anger - aggressive and ungrateful.

It's true and I think you are right. Naturally if you wanted to , you could break it down into more specific "feelings" but anger is a good subtext for all of those mentioned, under the general category of discontent. They certainly can pile up and lead to anger. I think you can compare it to having one glass but some deciding to see it half full instead of half empty, that sort of thing. Good point and Cheers. Hope you don't mind if I steal this for my facebook page. I deal with anger issues and find it helpful. I know many others who this perspective might also help. Thanks for posting it.

From stressful anger to The Freedom of Gratitude

'Anger' is the vain conditional judgmental imagination/ego's emotional reaction to being thwarted!
Judgment is passed, and anger is all self-righteous reaction!
Vanity!

'Gratitude', on the other hand, is an 'unconditional' Virtue of unconditional Love!
True Gratitude is not for any specific item (that would be 'conditional', vanity!)m but a state of Being!

True, unconditional Love is ALWAYS recognized by It's unconditional Virtues; Compassion, Empathy, Sympathy, Gratitude, Humility, Charity (charity is never taking more than your share of anything, ever!), Honesty, Happiness, Faith...
ALWAYS!

Anger says, "Things are going bad for me, like this and this and that."
Gratitude says, "Things are going great for me, like this and this and that."

Gratitude doesn't 'say' anything, it is a state of being.

Anger says, "The world is doomed because of this and that."
Gratitude says, "The World is beautiful because of this and that."

Gratitude doesn't 'say' anything, it is a state of being.
The Loving eye only sees beauty, no matter where it gazes! Unconditionally!

Anger say, "Hurry up."
Gratitude says, "It's ok, take your time and relax."

Gratitude doesn't 'say' anything (that is conditionality), it is a state of being.

Anger speaks of domination and violence.
Gratitude speaks of Freedom and Love.

Gratitude doesn't 'say' anything, it is a state of being.

Gratitude purely focuses on what is Beautiful, Kind, and Joyful.

No, it doesn't. That would be 'conditional'.

We have a choice to be Grateful or ungrateful in every moment.

Nope.
'Choice' is imaginary (egoic) vanity! *__-
