Actually more people died and were killed from edged weapons and clubs prior to guns than guns have ever killed. Guns are the reason more have not died. Lets take a look at history for a second...

Did you read what you quoted as the London stats show it decreasing by 300% in two centuries prior to the invention of guns - which debunks what you're claiming.

Guns have only existed a couple of centuries. We're talking about the 21st century here, not the 15th. How is that supposed to be a valid comparison? Same goes for comparing dark age figures prior to the establishment of a police force to the modern age - your claim guns are the sole reason for this is completely unfounded and untrue to anyone with a modicum of sense. You might as well claim electricity or manned flight was the cause for all the relevance it has.

By all mean keep to your pro-gun stance, but please base your argument in present day reality, not stuff that happened prior to the enlightenment, police forces or modern democracies as stooping to such levels to conjure an argument only demonstrates how thin the stance is.

True or false, it's easier to kill someone 100m away with a gun than with a knife? It's quicker to kill a room full of people with a squeeze of a trigger than having to go up to each one individually and stab them to death?

You can kill someone, if you were hell bent on it, even with a Nerf sword. People have died from inhaling almost everything under the sun.

The item used, is not the problem, and our continually focus on the item that caused the death continues to overshadow the who and the why.

Not relevant. No matter what, stuff will still happen. We live in the safest world that's ever existed. Statistically. Trying to eliminate absolutely every threat is really just an excuse for authoritarianism and turning the whole world into a padded cell.

In the meantime, I'll bet you anything at least 5 people somewhere in the world just slipped and fell in the shower and died. When are we going to get it through our heads that taking a shower just isn't safe?

What are you saying that is different from what I said?

You seemed to be implying that focusing on "the who and the why" would fix everything. Which is obviously not true. And also has much darker implications.

New images of the slasher: Anton Lundin-Petterson, 21, who killed three people with a sword at the Kronan school in Trollhattan, near Gothenburg, Sweden on 10-22-15. They are saying he did it because of his anti-immigrant sentiment; but his wearing of the upside hexagram pendant might indicate the motive had something to do with occult satanism.

The investigation also established without doubt that the attack was a racist hate attack, with Lundin-Petterson 'blaming immigrants for his own failures'.
