Not at all. I remember when that happened in fact. France was furious about it, and I felt it was an awful thing for Fox to do, of course I think most things Fox does is awful. But wasn't that years ago? And if it's the "no-go" terminology you're finding offense with, that has been explained on this very thread by people who have experienced it.

I've had jobs in the past, helping the poor, in which I made 'home visits'. There were places heavily populated by gangs back then. ('we've solved our gang problem, btw, and not a single young black male was killed by LE.) We didn't call them 'no go', we just called it 'the west side'.

The rules were: Don't go before school starts, don't go after school lets out. If you have an emergency during that period, you need a police escort. The police weren't in love with going themselves.

It was just simply the prudent thing to do.

Because the mayor wants to sue doesn't prove what we hear is false. It only proves that the plaintiff doesn't want you to hear what is told. That's the purpose of a defamatory lawsuit. It's to suppress what the defendant is saying. Lawsuits aren't the de facto of innocence. Because someone draws up a lawsuit does't preclude their guilt.

In reality, a decline of tourism and reputation is more at stake and not because what is said isn't true. The real reason is Europe is trying to censor Muslim crimes

100% the media aren't telling the actual story. The media is infested with a particular form of bigotry called "political correctness" AKA Cultural Marxism.

there have always been dodgy areas in the UK as well which involved drugs and gang crime. Moss Side in Manchester when I was growing up was one such area although I still went there because my friend lived there. It was also the red light area. I was never intimidated or frightened there though because really, as now, unless you were involved in that sort of lifestyle, you were left alone. The no go areas then meant that Police took extra care when going into these areas because of the gang members having guns etc.

The muslim no go areas operating in the UK are a completely separate thing. Friends of mine in the past have been approached in the day time, at a park with their children and told to leave because it was a muslim park and muslim area. The Police now patrol that park so things have improved but that was the reality.

To keep denying there is no such thing as muslim patrols and people trying to push sharia law in the UK and France is dangerous because whilst people keep denying these things exist, more and more vulnerable disillusioned young men will become extremists. Jihad John and others will have been radicalised by the same people who are carrying out these muslim patrols and I am sure no one would deny that. So whilst we keep denying it is happening we are going to keep having atrocities carried out by extremists. a reply to: gladtobehere

Just remember that there is no such thing as a no go zone. Anywhere.

If you doubt this, fly me out and I'll go there hang out film the whole adventure for ATS exclusive. If you're in the US, Room and board when I get there. I'll drive myself. Not only will I hang out safely but I'll talk to people, buy things, read magazines and books, dance and provide a free self-defense class.

Sure there are places in Vegas, like dark allies with no cops around that I don't go to at 2am by myself. That's just called common sense...as long as there are cities there will be some crime, especially at night. But other than that? No such thing as a No go zone.

East Menlo Park and East Palo Alto in Silicon Valley were no-go zones as far as going for somewhere to eat for tech workers. They had the highest murder rates in the USA. During the day they were safe enough to drive through, but at night, that's when the druggies and drug dealers came out to settle scores.

I know in my home city (which was about 99% Christian), there were no-go areas at various times. These were mainly were drunks would stagger home from the pubs next to hotels and courthouses. Low income council estates where your car is likely to be stripped of everything that is removable.

Both France and Sweden list their no-go areas or zones of cultural sensitivity. Doesn't matter about religion, wherever there are large numbers of undereducated unemployed young men you get problems where they throw stones at police and emergency crews.

Okay then. "peddling lies". Wow. That's pretty harsh.

I think you are just angry, and nothing short of saying 'all Muslims are perfect human beings without sin or flaws, and no Muslim has ever made a mistake in their lives" is going to suit you. You have become irrational.

I want peace, but I don't want to be foolish either.

see ya,

You didint debunk anything, fox news is behing sued by the city of paris for the lies on there documentary.

So what did you debunk.

Keep on lying the thread is on ats, on french newspapers and internet.

So ill take the truth and let you lie more.

OKay you go ahead and say nothing more if you want. I will leave a response for others who might still be confused by your claims.

For one thing, the ability for them to sue is just about nul. They can only do it in a french court, in which Fox already has virtually no presence. They cannot get any money, but the very worst that can happen is Fox News being banned from broadcasting in France. It already doesn't here, so that would change nothing.

Secondly, the reasons for threatening publicly this way are, specifically-

The warning about a lawsuit came after a series of Fox segments suggested there are parts of Paris and other European cities where Islamic law is practiced and where police are fearful to work. The "no-go" zone segments were widely mocked and challenged as inaccurate, particularly by French media outlets.

Some critics have accused the network of using the controversial "no-go zones" idea to perpetuate a fearful narrative about Muslims, particularly in the days since terror attacks in Paris.

One Fox show, for example, displayed an inaccurate map of the alleged "no-go zones" in and around Paris.

With regards to Paris, "some of the neighborhoods were highlighted incorrectly," host Anna Kooiman said.

money.cnn.com...

Of course, the mayor of Paris and the adjoints KNOW there is no way to sue Fox News. The public announcements are simply an attempt to save any possible drop in tourism in Paris as a result of the reports.

They are counting on the audience being dull witted and not using discernment in hearing or reading. (Just as Fox does) . They are hoping that the americans who take a bit of info and go ape$# into exaggeration mode will do the same here- just as they took Fox News to be speaking of areas which are officially sanctioned off, Vatican style, into their own sovereign state of Islam, where Sharia law is installed, (and without researching the areas highlighted)

...they are hoping that here, those same people will not research or read closely, and simply assume, "Oh the whole thing wasn't true at all. There is nothing even close to that happening. " and move on to focus on some other current media hyperbole, (retaining their plans to visit Paris and spend their money there).

It is embarrassing for them that the police will usually refuse to go into these areas. To expose that is defamation.
So is publicizing photos of a starlettes cellulite when she is on a vacation with her boyfriend - she can sue for that. It doesn't mean she doesn't have cellulite. An individual can insist on their right to privacy. A city cannot.

Look, calling me a liar doesn't make me a liar. It's you who is lying to yourself. I posted a 40 minute commentary explaining the realities of these zones as per the French comedy show. It is you who is willing to accept a two minute mockery as actual journalism without looking at any other facts. It is you who refuses to accept that if someone starts a lawsuit, it does't mean they're correct. That's for the judge to decide in the end and even then it's on'y subjective. If I say I'm going to sue you now because you called me a liar, am I automatically correct? What's your immediate response to me suing you? Bull# right? So why do you assume just because the Paris' Mayor wants to sue means she has a valid case? Look, Monsanto sued a small town and won because they didn't want Monsanto to be there spreading their GMO seeds everywhere. Does that mean Monsanto is correct?

You are too young to know how the real world works and have been brain washed by politics you don't even understand in the name of political correctness. Here is my answer to your "mockery journalism" you so adamantly believe is truth.

Watch it, listen to it, then get back to me.
