If humanity has taken us to the steps of opening the doomsday vault, it maybe is because to little is done, and not enough within the timespan before its to late to do anything about it.. Nature recovers it always does, but it maybe will take humanity a millenia to recover from being something which is just a facade..

Known as the "Doomsday Vault," this seed bank -- operated by the Norwegian government and containing a seed of just about every known crop in the world -- is meant to be humanity's backup in the event of a catastrophe that devastates crops..

What do you guys think?

I think its deeper than that. Every life form and every persons memory, the experiences, including seeds and vast storages of the Internet will all be uploaded to the intergalactic harvester when the time comes.

Those that were too greedy, selfish and or murderous in real life are going into the sun, the rest get to leave this gravity well…

The product will be the combined knowledge and experience, the DNA, frozen embryos, seeds and all the ones that get to start anew somewhere else. What else did they start this garden for?

Want to be 'one who came down' on another world?

I think,at the very least, the majority of humanity is in serious jeopardy.

The Extinction of Animal and Plant Species
The Planet's First-ever Mass-Extinction Precipitated by a Biotic Agent: Humans

Should we be alarmed at the current massive die-offs being noted in the animal and plant kingdoms? After all, new species arise and old species die off all the time. Its just nature taking its course, right? Not necessarily. The Earth is now entering the sixth mass extinction event in its four-billion-year history, but what’s different about this die-off is that this is the only such event precipitated by a biotic agent: humans.
The extinction numbers far outweigh the emergence of new species.

Humanity's going to be building upward if they can't get this population thing under control.

Greenhouses especially will come in handy. Perhaps the seed bank's going to begin being used as per the purposes of replication.

You do realize that they open it from time to time to check the condition of what they have stored there right?

I think Humanity is rather resourceful and has been, and will be around for quite sometime. Possibly millions of years.

As to the seed bank i imagine it would be rather more prudent to address the current socioeconomic and resource related problems we face today as opposed to planing for some future disaster type scenario that may never occur.
