There is something fishy going on in Turkey and I bet that's related to what's happening in Syria right now. That official story of her death, is pure BS, why would someone commit suicide for missing a flight.

That's also an indication, or rather an intimidation to those who try to uncover the mess that's really happening now inside Turkey and it's boarders near Syria.

Agreed. And Erdogan is kind of a loose cannon it would seem. Add to it the story of ISIL training camps within Turkey and things are getting weird there.

Very fishy indeed.... her predecessor was killed in a carbomb i Baghdad the 2nd of May this year.

Maybe they were getting to close to something regarding the training of IS soldiers by western agencies?

NO ONE kills themself by hanging in an airport over a missed flight.

Jacky Sutton acting head of the Institute for War & Peace Reporting in Iraq has been found hanged in an airpoirt toilet in turkey.

from The Guardian

Jacqueline Sutton died at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, according to local media reports. The Turkish newspaper Hürriyet said she was en route to the Iraqi city of Irbil and was due to change flights in Turkey.

It was not clear how Sutton had died, with some reports saying she had taken her own life. But fellow journalist and development worker Rebecca Cooke called for an international investigation.

from the Huffpost

She was the acting Iraq director for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) at the time of her death.

Her friends questioned Turkish media reports that she killed herself after not having enough money to pay for a new ticket for the connecting flight she had missed.

She is reported to have arrived at Ataturk Airport from London on Saturday night.

Journalist and international development worker Rebecca Cooke said the death was "shocking and sad news" and said it needed "an international not just local" investigation.

The official hypotesis is that she lost a coincidence and committed suicide, after unnamed witnesses told turkish media that she was crying for getting another plane and she had no way to pay it.

This stinks really much especially after the Ankara bombs a week ago and after the killing of Ammar Al Shahbander, the former chief of IWPR in may 2015. She was going to Erbil in iraqui Kurdistan, which should ring a bell, quite a loud one. We'll see how it develops.

EDIT: Adding the Daily Mail article which contains some more background facts.

Journalists do not hang themselves just because they miss a flight, Their employer, their family a collegue will bail them out when their in a finanical fix. Jurnos if they are not owned by their employers in the mass media, tend to be very committed to their work and the cause.

Were there scruity camers in the air port which show her in a depressed or fearful state. Do the camers show a sudden rush of 3-4 other laides going into the toilets behind her?

Sounds very sus to me.

This stinks like hell.

I'm almost 100% certain that this was a hit. It would be just too bizarre to be anything else.

Question is WHO and WHY..?

Not extremists..!! Extremists are very public with their killings and like to boast. They are always very proud of their work. Suiciding someone in a toilet block just isn't the extremist MO.

Governments on the other hand that want to keep someone or something quiet, often do use the suicide method.

The current Turkish government has this written all over their faces.

She was close to the Kurdish community and was reporting on the issues confronting the Kurds in Turkey, which would have put a bad, bad face on the Turk Government.

They wanted her dead, pure and simple.

I just hope if it is eventually proven, that the correct measures are taken against Turkey, rather than continue to treat them as an ally.

Turkey is "not", an ally of the west..!!

CCTV has been released, though there are no time stamps - a crucial omission. Impossible to work out the timeline from the footage.

It raises more questions than it answers. She doesn't appear stressed. She seems to have a boarding card, so at this stage she was on course to catch her connecting flight. After passing through security, she gains an extra bag, apparently after doing some shopping - why would she go shopping immediately before killing herself?

The most fatal mistake a journalist can make is to bag themselves a story that certain groups or governments don't want told.

It seems the suicide hypotesis is dead. The police reported she had 2300 euros with her.

From the daily mail

She appeared ‘distressed’ because she could not afford to buy a new ticket and was later discovered hanged in the toilets, Turkish media reported.
But yesterday police at the airport described the circumstances surrounding her death as ‘suspicious’ as they revealed she had 2,300 euros in her bag.

One officer, who did not want to be named, said: ‘We are not certain that it is a suicide. Her death is still being investigated. It’s suspicious.
Why would somebody who was found with thousands of euros kill themselves because they had no money? And she looks calm in all of the footage.’

Considering that hanging is rarely a natural event, it's a murder and given her position it's a heavy attack on freedom of journalism.

Now that the family have seen all the evidence including all CCTV they believe that Jacky acted alone and no other parties were involved.
The family and the IWPR said the Turkish authorities had provided access to "the complete dossier of evidence" relating to the case, including copies of CCTV images from the airport and witness statements.
This all indicated that Ms Sutton had been alone and there was no evidence of a struggle, they said.

People in a position of hers tend not to be depressed to the point of suicide. However, that's not to say she could NEVER be depressed or suicidal. Maybe she does know something. Something that just made her give up and realize there isn't any other way to escape what it is. I'm no forensic expert or sluth, but it all still doesn't make any sense to me. Sad and tragic nonetheless.

Surely not, however if the cctvs show no one entering nor getting out of the restroom it could be called "compelling" evidence. Now the possibilities for a conspiracy go down to
- Mind control suicide
- Cctvs hacking
- Restroom hacking

It still baffles me how a person like that could go as far as hanging herself for losing a plane. If she really did this alone there must have been something frightening chasing her or she did miss something enormous by not being in Erbil in time.
In the former case if she was carrying important informations and felt she could be coerced it might even make "sense", but in the latter case it would still be unjustified suicide down the whole line.

There's also the fact that some russians tourists found her and may be somehow linked, but personally I wouldn't go that far as KGB, given she was head of IWPR in Iraq it's far easier for a Saudi, Israeli, Iranian or Turkish secret service agent or a hitman working for some corporation (in that case could also be chinese or western for what we know). Also KGB seemed to prefer accidents or poisoning, suicide sounds like western psyops, but not knowing much about her who knows...

I'm just just in doubt of which agency, but have no doubts about it being a staged suicide.
