Human beings have a lot to answer for, but bringing up past atrocities and yelling about them is just trying to reignite old prejudices.
Yes, they have reason to dislike the Japanese -- and so do a lot of nations around there. That was 60 years ago, and until the nations decide to say "okay, it's in the past and we need to move forward" it will still be an issue between them.
How many thousands of years do we have to repent for the sins of our ancestors? The Serbs and Croats are still at it after 700 years. The Irish are fighting each other over events that are 300 years past. Vendettas in the Middle East go back further.
The focus needs to be on making progress, not gasping and frothing over the horrible things that happened 60 years ago. Because if you want to take THAT route, then perhaps you'd better look at the other side of what we Americans did -- napalm in Vietnam, the atomic bomb in Japan, etc, etc.
