Word Chaos

It's not really that easy to get words to rhyme,
The right one doesn't always come to my mind.
And even when you use them in the perfect way
They still try to escape, it's hard to get them to stay.

Sometimes I'm chasing them around on the page,
Pulling them back to the spot, where they're first laid.
Searching for ones that try to hide in plain view,
Chasing words down, seems like all that I do.

Meh, I'll just let them do whatever they want,
Let them be bold if they choose, change colors or font.
I no longer care, where they go or what they do,
I'm letting go of it all, let them do as they choose.

I won't pull them back to where they're spose to be,
Keep them locked in a sentence, I'll set them free.
Let them fall where they want, run amuck if they wish,
I'll let you sort it all out, I'm done playing with this.

Thanks,

Definitely a fun take on how working with words can be. You effectively wrote a poem about the struggles of writing along with the confined structure of literature.

The struggle of making it sound natural I know too well.

Absolutely..words can be elusive little beasts, even when trying to find the right ones while conveying a message verbally.
I wanted to make the pictures linked to the color coded words a bit more powerful, but alas, time is not on my side and I have to head out to work.

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

That is Art...

I can picture it framed on a Cafe Nero wall.
