Just want to post the official poster for the Force Awakens movie.....what do you guys think? I'm know that I'm eagerly optimistic for this movie!

I can't wait for this movie! It feels like Abram is going back to the old school style of film making where actual props are being used instead of CGI. I feel like the prequel leaned WAY too much on CGI and it kind of ruined it. The trailers for it look amazing.

Yes, I am very excited as well but cautiously. With Disney in charge, I'm not sure how certain movie themes will play out. However, it does look amazing....!

Dat black Stormtrooper tho!

Well... in some lines he did go to the Dark Side.

It will be hard to get my back as a fan after that steaming pile of Sith they gave us for the last three movies. They were horrible. Plus with Disney being involved it is VERY hard for me to believe this movie will be good.

I did like the "Revenge of the Sith" movie. It was good and the battle scene at the beginning was epic.

I think this movie is going to be pretty good. It is interesting that it is going back to using the old cast and less reliance on special effects than "Episode One: The Phantom Menace." I also really like what J.J. Abrams can do with a movie. Disney has been putting out the new Marvel movies, so they have been doing pretty good in my opinion.

This is the first Star Wars written from scratch since 911.

oh really, another Death Star...? sigh...

Still, I am looking forward to it. Being made by Abrams it should be a lot better than the Sequel Trilogy, but it won't be a work of art either. Most likely it'll be a thrill-ride for the young and young at heart, with some bumps here and there. Personally, my hopes for another quality "Star Wars" film is for the next one, to be written and directed by Rian Johnson.

Totally! I have more confidence in that director. I love his movie Brick which he also both wrote and directed.

Anyone notice no luke on the poster?.
I think he will only be in it for the last two mins.

I noticed that too! My thinking is more that he probably dies early on in the film. That kinda sucks because Luke was always my favourite Star Wars character...

I've never seen "Brick," but from what I have seen of his work he is an artistic filmmaker.

He does not die early in the film, he is a hermit who Daisy Ridley's character must locate.
