I think it has to do with you installing fonts on your phone. I never had an iphone but it looks like you use custom fonts, judging by the URI-bar on your iphone.

The same thing happens to me when the page loads slowly on my smartphone.

I just assumed it was either normal or I was hacked. Since everything works fine I never cared either way.

I don't know why, and don't know how to do screenshots on this phone, but I do get the same symbols

Your settings are customized but by you is the question. There's the "comic sans" font for the address and title bar. Assume that's on purpose/has to do with your layout/ general customization.

I've seen similar symbols show on when my pc/ connection was loading slowly before.
