Let's have a group hug!

I know this is probably going to be met with some head nodding and maybe even ignored entirely, but nothing ventured nothing gained my granny used to say.

There have been many threads that have become full of obnoxious behavior in the short time I have been a member.

The first day I joined I even saw where an OP had been started to refresh people on the rudeness and bigotry.

Not sure many who needed to see it, saw it, so here it is in all its glory.

I have very little patience or much time to expend on ATS dealing with inconsiderate people, I think there is an effort on the part of the Moderators to enforce these standards as often as possible, but let's face it, they can't catch it all.

I even saw an OP by a member to show appreciation get ridiculed for their effort.

Look, I get it, everyone here has the right to voice their opinion and unfortunately or fortunately, like so much of the Internet can be, is often done from a keyboard under the guise of anonymity with very little regard for feelings.

What are you going to do, ban someone? Big deal, they will just start another ID, it is all just a big game to some, while others try to be a bit more serious minded and respectful.

I would like you all to take a moment and post a picture of your favorite group hug, could you do that for me, please?

Let's take a breather from all the trolling and hatred and obnoxious behavior, anonymous or not, lets just all have a big fat group hug! Okay?

If we ALL did this more, the world would be a happier place. Celebrate your similarities instead of fighting over your differences.

Unless you are a long lost freind thought lost in the wilderness a warm smile and a handshake will suffice.

That's about as affectionate as I can get.

I don't mind that shoulder bump almsot look like your having a cuddle thing when you have not seen someone for a good while and in truth if has been a good ten years and unexpected I may break protocol and hug you like a bear but on a day to day basis it is just odd and un needed.

As for that french double kiss on the cheek business every other day...

Not sure anyone would want to see me without clothes, so, no, clothing is necessary for this exercise.

It's not a group hug, but it may be even better.
EDIT: It's a long version that shows people from 157 different countries dancing to "Happy".
