BEIRUT — An airstrike has killed a top al-Qaida commander and two other fighters in Syria, activists said Saturday, but it was not immediately clear whether it was carried out by the U.S.-led coalition or Russian warplanes. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Abdul Mohsen Abdallah Ibrahim al-Charekh, a Saudi better known as Sanafi al-Nasr, was killed Thursday in an airstrike near the northern Syrian town of Dana, along with another Saudi and a Moroccan member of al-Qaida's local affiliate, known as the Nusra Front.

this is really interesting.

although its not going to be a game of 'who is going to take credit' between the US and Russia, its still going to be interesting to see who is responsible for this major strike.

I suspect if its Russia, more and more in the Mid East region will be backing Putin.
will the US keep forcing its agenda?

If he is Saudi, then it was probably Russians, the Sauds are US allies. The webernetz is saying they were killed 'in the north', near Dana?

On the road in convoy, fleeing to Turkey? Or sitting in a basement? What…?

if he was hiding inside a hospital it was the US who killed him.

You're funny.

OP......This doesn't matter anyway because as I'm typing right now, there is a new "senior" al quaida operative to take the place of the old dead one.
