a reply to: Bluntone22 I wish you could say that, but the Trump/Carson is nuttier than the Sanders/Clinton nuts. This entire election is about pick the least amount of evil.

So we can choose between:
Building a wall with a door who portrays he is a bigot, and some of the things he says are just flat crazy
A bitch who will say anything to get elected
A socialist
And a brain surgeon who continues to demonstrate that even though you are book smart, you can still lack common sense.

Great choices..

He is the least of all evils, but he is unelectable. His stance on certain issues is too firm. His claim of being a socialist will be too polarizing. a reply to: ManBehindTheMask

Ask that same question of any candidate? I think the answer is, not very far. At least some "fringe" people are trying. Maybe they could take us closer if TPTB weren't already trying to "hinder" those challenges.

Biden will have to run now.

Here's my quick sum up on who will be the most memorable from this debate. -

-Bernie had the most energy. He put a huge amount of passion put into his points. People will remember him because of this in this debate.

-O'Malley just killed that closing. Since it was at the very end, and hit the ball out of the park with that closing, that will be fresh in peoples minds for quite awhile. I mean, wow, I was not expecting a closing like that. Him and Bernie will be the most memorable.

Clinton.... yea she has composure and knows how to speak to her base and all, but I think that the majority of people are already solidified in their opinion of her. (No debate will change my opinion of her. Will never vote for her.)

And.... who were the other 2 guys again? I forgot their names already.

Bernie and Hilary were both AWESOME. I would be happy with either one!

Mark O'Malley was good too.

Cant' help but notice the entire thing, all the banter, all the speeches were Constructive, while the 'others debate participants were Destructive towards each other, and the country.

Such a mindblowing difference.

Thought the same thing.

Or, more accurately - Biden will think so.

Biden is a bigger dip# than the others. Hell we should nominate someone from ATS and start a youtube/twitter/facebook campaign for someone never has ever heard of that isn't part of the establishment. A lot of smart people here, and I think the country is waiting for a better choice.

Taxing carbon does not help with climate change. It just raises revenue. The energy corporations can afford the tax. How does this change their output?

They will only pass the tax on to the consumers. What part of corporations never actually pay the tax increase don't you get? They find ways to avoid it or go out of business. One of those is to pass the cost on to consumers in the form of increased bills.

How long will you be able to pay those until you need government assistance to pay your utilities? How long will the government actually realize increased revenue when offset over the increased people it must subsidize to avoid having them freeze to death in the winter or die of heat stroke in the summer?

I do not disagree with anything you said. I was just commenting on what he said. I see the big picture. Carbon tax is just another revenue tool. It changes nothing environmentally.

White House just walked back Obama's statement that Hillary's email situation didn't jeopardize national security, tonight..and Hillary did not lose hands down to Sanders.

Obama can't have Hillary get the nomination and then be indicted.
Biden will delcare this week.

Just to have my choice out there...

I like what Webb had to say...

I want a President to be Presidential, and respect the Constitution, and understand that holding that office means working with Congress to keep the gears moving... not using the Oval Office as a bulldozer should the folks on Capitol Hill not align with what he/she wants...

On the other side.. I like Carson for many of the same reasons...

Both come from a different political ideology, but both seem to want to get the FED GOVT to work in the way our Constitution laid out the balance of power...

Trump, Hillary = doom IMO

Paul, Sanders = taking what Bush & Obama have done with the Executive and taking it further based on their own personal views...

it only get's worse from their as far as the choices... just my .02

Hillary had the most to lose and didn't lose anything
Bernie did alright
O''malley finished strong
The other two are a joke, and Webb I think found himself at the wrong debate, the republican debates were a few weeks ago.

Wishful thinking. But, not realistic.

BTW - I agree with Bernie. Just don't think its possible.
