For those who want to continue with the topic of the thread I am moving on to another potential game changer!

Next stop on our doomsday hit list is nano weaponry attacking things at the nano scale. With nano weapons the weapon is so small its virtually invisible to most forms of detection.

Nano-weapons: Tomorrow's Global Security Threat
www.academia.edu...
Conceivable types of nano-weapons are limited only by human imagination and include a variety of agents that may be designed to kill or maim human beings, animals, crops, or attack any of the many environmental systems composing the earth’s fragile ecosystem. A small sample of the types of potential nanotechnology-based weapons includes the following.

Nano-poisons could be delivered to individual, small group or large group targets, not only to kill or disable, but could also be used to trigger specific brain functions or neural patterns thus effecting a form of mind control, for example, by reducing aggressive impulses or rendering victims pliable and subservient. “Nano mind erasers” could modify or even erase a person’s memory by inducing a succession of tiny and unnoticeable “micro fields” targeted to certain brain areas creating Alzheimer-like symptoms in its victims.

Nano heart stoppers and stroke inducers would operate by restricting neural or arterial blood flow causing excruciating pain, permanent damage or death to its victims. Invisible nano needles could be projected at victims like bullets from guns at extended distances to arrest victims’ physical movement or otherwise disable them. In addition to serving as weapons of mass destruction and for targeted assassination, nano devices can operate as “nano-dust spies” for reconnaissance purposes or sentinels in defensive applications. Respiratory, ingestive or dermal exposure to seeming innocuous nano-particles may pose a health hazard depending on the size, surface composition and bioreactivity of the particles and can cause adverse cellular and neural effects.

Disclosure: Implied Strong Language

I try to be one to avoid such outbursts, but...

Oh for !@*&'s sake, I hate humans. Why has our most potentially amazing technology always got to exist primarily for the purpose of military twats sitting in high backed chairs being able to show off their Willy Wonka bars to each other? The fact that war is even still a concept is a disgrace to sapient thought. We as a global civilization have a genuine chance of achieving Utopia. Yes, Utopia. It's a technically feasible reality that's rendered impossible because a relatively minor subset of humans can't help but be such utterly contemptible greedy and prideful bastards, while a much larger subset of humans can't help but be ignorant, bigoted idiots. Oh, my heart weeps. It weeps for what we could do, what we could be, if only we truly tried.

Russia was going to build the super bomb IVAN, 1000MT
but just built and tested the tzar bomb 500MT insted.
what if they saved the IVAN to use in war?

the best way to use it would be to bury it at
the mid point in the north atlantic ocean.
the tsunami would take out east usa and Europe.

OK so here is a Russian doomsday device made to kill life with radiation and make a super tsunami as well! Its a 100 megaton yield!

SECRET NUCLEAR TORPEDO PLANS APPEAR ON RUSSIAN TV

www.bbc.com...
Cobalt warhead?
On the diagram the giant torpedo's range is given as "up to 10,000km" (6,200 miles) and depth of trajectory is "up to 1,000m" (3,300ft).
It was developed by Rubin, a submarine design bureau in St Petersburg.
It would, apparently, be launched by nuclear-powered submarines of the 09852 "Belgorod" and 09851 "Khabarovsk" series.
Rossiiskaya Gazeta called the torpedo a "robotic mini-submarine", travelling at 100 knots (185km/h; 115mph), which would "avoid all acoustic tracking devices and other traps".
100-megaton warhead could devastate US coast with massive tsunami and intense radiation
