Very few cases of religion in school has won. (Except private expression)

Recently a cheer team won to put scripture on their banners. It will be challenged.

Society evolves. Majority of Separation of Church and State cases have been successful and set precedent.

That's a fair analysis.

I personally am having trouble with the free expression clause of the first amendment here. On the one hand, religious elements in a school play could be construed as "coercion" and "not secular enough", yet to utilize federal courts to inhibit such a play, especially when the community is all for it, seems to me the state infringing on religious freedoms. I'm trying to imagine what is worse here: kids putting on a play with Jesus in it, or kids denied putting on a play with Jesus in it. It's a tricky fine line between separation of church and state, and the state infringing on religious freedoms.

I have never ever ever been offended, and im Christian

I've had a Christian go off on me for saying "Happy Holidays".

Then Id say that says more about them then their faith TBH

I find that people who are easily offended have issues beyond their belief system, its an internal issue thats separate from anything else........

Easily offended people will find something to be offended by regardless of what it is

Jesus is a specific religion. That creates a problem.

My granddaughters elementary school puts on a secular Holiday play. So I know it can be done.

The little kids do sing Little Drummer Boy. Fine line there. They may have tweaked it a bit.

Hashtag courtesy of ATS.
But of course you can't prove how you came to the conclusion about me and what I do or do not support from anything I've said on the subject.

because kids are easily manipulated and influenced
(same reason you cant market cigarettes on tv....its the cool normal thing.....everyone does it.....all your friends even!)
you are essentially brainwashing them and bribing them with goodies

that is completely unacceptable

if you want to indoctrinate your own kids and force your beliefs on them before they can think for themselves thats your business
but how dare you presume the right to do that to other peoples kids

If your kids minds are so frail that "Merry Christmas" or a nativity scene totally Brainwashes them then that is your failure as a parent, not the failure from someone else.......

Also I find it Ironic someone with that username, is trying to talk about some sort of perceived morality

well it worked on you didnt it?
all the goodies, the plays, group inclusion, and events
and all of it gone in the blink of an eye if your faith should come into question
cast out like a lepper
seems to have worked wonders

and whats immoral about farts?
you dont fart or something?

It's not really a problem when it is voluntary.

are you making a presumption about what worked on me or how it worked on me?

Hmm so not only are you irrational with your fear or religion, in addition to impractical with your ideas that kids can actually think for themselves.........

You are apparently psychic

Impressive

The vast, vast, VAST majority of atheists are not waging any kind of war on Christmas, any religion, or any religious holidays or people. That's the point to consider here, internet.

Kinda like how muslims are not waging jihad on the west.

Yet the majority of the violence acts are made by muslims just as the majority of attacks on Christmas is done by atheist.

Newsflash: Atheists celebrate Christmas too. It's more than just a Christian holiday. Though atheists would prefer not having to look at Christian Christmas imagery at government buildings the same as the rest of year.

Explain to me why during the holidays that Separation of Church and State is supposed to not apply suddenly.

What is the point you try to make here.

My words were clear and I never said that any atheist do not celebrate holidays

reread it if you are still confused.

majority of attacks on the west are done by muslims just as majority of attacks on Christmas and religion is done by atheist

Gingerbread houses. Ovens baking. Families gathering. Time they're sharing.

Buckets of crabs... buckets of crabs.

No one attacks Christmas. There isn't a war against Christmas. Christmas is STILL the most popular and widely celebrated holiday in the United States. It isn't in any danger of being dethroned anytime soon. Fox News just likes to drum up this stupid controversy every year to incite people such as yourself into outrage.

If you seriously think that atheists are attacking Christmas in any meaningful amount, then post some numbers on it. Otherwise you are just as guilty as Fox News of sensationalizing a nothing story.
