Four Russian Navy warships have fired a total of 26 missiles at the position of the terrorist group Islamic State in Syria, Russia’s Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced. The missiles were fired from the Caspian Sea.

“Four missile ships launched 26 cruise missiles at 11 targets. According to objective control data, all the targets were destroyed. No civilian objects sustained damage,” Shoigu said.

The missile attacks came from Russia’s fleet in the Caspian Sea, which borders Russia, Iran and three other littoral countries. The precision weapons reportedly hit all intended targets. The attacks apparently required cooperation from Iran and Iraq, as the missiles had to travel through their airspace to reach Syria.

Earlier, Russian warships played a key part in deploying the Russian warplanes to Syria, delivering equipment and supplies to an air base near Latakia and the Navy’s old base in Tartus.

Breaking! 4 Russian warships launch 26 missiles against ISIS from Caspian sea

Russia last week started carrying out airstrikes in Syria against the positions of Islamic State. The war in the Middle East has dramatically got more complex with the Russian presence there. The Russian bombing of IS targets has been extremely effective hitting over 50 ISIS targets in Syria over 5 days.

So the question is: The US has been bombing IS targets for the past one year but why are they so pathetically ineffective?!

Russian planes bomb ISIL targets for a fifth day.....

Looks like our "game of terrorists" failed. The USA and Allies should just withdraw now before we make it worse for ourselfs.

Even the USA government shills on ATS are struggling with this one

Thank you for your thread.
Few weeks ago, I came across this very picturesque article about the current Russian fleet deployment in the Mediterranean sea :

Have to admit, Russians rock the boat exactly as I would do it. I mean - this is ecstatic. They can cruise bomb ISIS from own territory. This is cool. I mean, this clearly shows, wussies are wussies, and boss is boss.

Sorry for Obama though. Wimpy is wimpy. And where did Obama get the idea of fighting Assad - stupiiid...

Counting days for Trump. Will be fun.

Because the US goal is topple Assad and the Russians are trying to stop that.

US arms terrorists, Russia is targeting them.

A dead Jihadi is a dead Jihadi.

Don't care whether they hit the "good" terrorists or "bad" Terrorists.

All I know is ISIS wants to attack the UK and Assad doesn't.
So Russia can bomb away.

Let Russia Assist that government how the Government see's fit.

No its not.

The question in Syria should be "Who is a threat to the UK?"

Assad? No, in fact before the civil war we were on pretty good terms with Syria.

ISIS? Yes because not only have they threatened time and time again to attack us but actually have.

Seems to me we should be focuses on the annihilation of ISIS. Syria internal political disputes are none of our business.
