They kind of already do this in the U.S.
employers can look at your social media and use that as a factor in whether they hire you or not.
insurance companies use your credit score to determine your rates,or whether to sell you insurance. their reasoning is that people with bad credit scores are more likely to file false claims to get some money.
There`s a lot of examples of this in the U.S.

Hopefully, nothing like this ever happens in the U.S.! The government suppressing free speech and even choosing what hobbies its citizens engage in is terrifying. What is more, there is peer pressure to conform because if you "act out," you will be lowering the scores of your friends on social media.

Meanwhile, similar developments are still happening in the U.S., where the upcoming Peeple app will allow all people to be rated by whoever and their ratings found, with comments, on the internet.

The Washington Post

I'm guessing the US government already uses something similar to China. NSA huge data center, DHS keeping no fly lists, etc. Just because they don't publicize it doesn't mean they don't do it.

The Peeple app has already died:

That stupid idea should have been called the Bully App, maybe the Troll App.

Stepping up the Facebook anti privacy grid a notch and more here. Don't think in this case people can have their internet use hidden from the grid, for example, if they wanted to create a fake for work purposes profile. All usesage will be used to built the score. Including videos game, figures... if you play too many hours per day, you won't be qualified for x job.

Basically discrimination and per-determination would be a free for all when accessed.

It's disturbing. Get people to rally around it as by the source they are already bragging about scores.

Source also says the score will be linked National identity card. And people won't why many reject the real ID Act which could be a precursor to a national ID card similar to China if it's doing well there.
