It seems that the great quake of the other day has triggered off a volcano in the region. Narcondum volcano in India, has began to erupt which is pretty interesting because scientists have long believed this to be extinct. Man, what is going on over there?

add that one to others that have been very active lately.i think that there might be more volcanoes going off before these plates start to cool down. when that might happen will never know.plates like this one that shifted 95 feet will take along time to settle.plates only move an inch every so many 100 of years so you can see this is a world wide event.the fear of all this if it does not settle down it wil set off volcanoes on the north american side.we hope this does not happen.flukemol.......

Can you find a second source that verifies this?

It's not listed on the global volcanic activity report.

Heres a news link supporting the "volcanolive" data provided by skychief, looks like its true that two volcanos in that area are now active.

Barren-1 and Narcondum Erupt in Andaman

Valhall, looks like the global volcanic activity report from USGS has not been updated since December 28, even used their prelim search function and found data only on MSH and Alaskan reports from field scientist's - probably the holidays has government employees off work.
