If it were my daughter's fingers under the knife I would renounce Jesus, Buddah, the Dali Lama, the theory of relativity, evolution, and the fact that the Earth is round.

Then I would kill those bastards in their sleep.

It is heart breaking as there culture is being destroyed and that place is becoming a darkness as there light is taken out of the world but for them they have suffered for our lord and there is no greater blessing, they shall feast with him in heaven unlike the Islamic faithful whom have commited these crime's, when he was about to die on the cross Jesus prayed for those whom hurt him, he forgave them and asked his father to forgive them.

In eternity they shall be mourned as they whom commit this evil are lost, that is what a lost soul is and the true tragedy is the death of the soul of those whom have commited these atrocity's, eternity is a very big house and they shall not be there but this boy and those christian's shall be.

I think whenever the word "christian" is mentioned there is an automatic stereotypical image that pops into everyone's heads of some white bible thumpin evangelist.

These Christians, the Assyrians & Chaldean are indigenous to the ME, and are the descendants of the very first christian tribes. Isis have sworn to eradicate them from the face of the earth and are crucifying 100's per day. Genocide Watch has alerted the UN to this and have upped the Genocide alert to level 5. The annihilation of any specific group has to be stopped regardless

I have just as much a right to be here as you do. In fact, I had eggs and 12 grain toast for breakfast. I didn't thank any particular provider other than myself and my wife who worked to pay for the ingredients, my time for preparing it and my wife for cleaning up afterwards.

I have quite the distaste for the religious. I am honest and up front about it. I do not hate you, I do hate your religion.

I do disagree with your beliefs, but I will not tell you how to live your life.

I will openly, and proudly denounce religion, not people. So you sir, are my brother in flesh, I just disagree with your beliefs as you may mine.

Do you want to know what's truly beautiful. I live in a society where both of our life styles, and both of our beliefs are okay. We don't have to agree, and we can live together, work together. Perhaps even be friends.

I do not wish you harm, as much as i wish the disease i believe to be religion would go away.

In turn, I'm sure you wish the same. That the disease you believe plagues man kind is the lack of faith.

I do have faith though, it's just in something else. Human beings...

We will find a way, we always have.

I am loud, and I can be arrogant, but I do not truly hate... I merely disagree.

So in your previous post you state you hate religion but yet you visit a religion forum? I hate pornographic websites so I don't visit them because if I did that would make me a hypocrite so what are doing visiting a religion forum? Are you a hypocrite or are you trolling? Trolling is against ATS T&C regulations so it is best you say you are a hypocrite, otherwise you would be in violation against ATS rules.

Amen,

And yet these acts go on within the Islamic world and not a single Islamic government is on record against this specific crime. Any laws protecting the Christian in the Middle East? Where are they?

There are way to many sympathetic supporters for this type of cruel punishment within the Islamic world. A handful of muslims against this type of treatment is a joke. Where are the Imams and other teachers of the Islamic faith teaching against this type of treatment? I see some statements in the west but the issue is in the East not the West. So where in the East has a government made it a PRIORITY to protect those of other beliefs? Where is it in Islamic TV and Islamic newspapers? Is it daily in the newspapers? What about once a month? Is there an ongoing campaign where it is often mentioned and being funded like the western world has funded the Islamic world with medicines, clean water, shelter, schools, hospitals, food, immigration to the west...etc...?

Where can a Christian family in the Middle East run to and seek support from radical muslims? Where is the police when murder is ongoing in public squares downtown? If a Christian cuts the head off a Muslim in the public square of a town in the Middle East would the people stand around and say nothing?

Where are these Christians who are cutting people's heads off, raping the muslim women and children? And don't bring up the war! What I am talking about has been going on at least a fourteen hundred years so don't give me the sob story on how the west has bombed and destroyed families in the Middle East over the past 15 years. You show me an innocent muslim family in the Middle East that is not Christian whom supports other religions and I will show you ten families in the Middle East that do NOT!

You want to pray to a tree or a statue.... go ahead. You want to preach hatred like the muslims do.... go ahead. If Christians want to preach hell fire and how homosexuals are going to hell..... go ahead BUT when people start killing each other based upon their beliefs than STOP! Put your beliefs to the side and stop this murder. I am not talking about military war, I am talking about murder......there is a BIG difference.

I am constantly amazed and heartened by these stories.

ISIS are pure evil and I hope Russia and or America bombs the crap out of the SOBs who did this to those martyrs. The heartening part of this story is the courage, strength of character and unshakable belief they have.

I've walked among similar people at Medjugorje in the former Yugoslavia in the darkest days of the war. The overwhelming love for one another and faith that everything will be okay, even if they die is a human trait that I sincerely wish the west would catch.

I don't think you know what the word hate means. I doubt anyone genuinely hates Christians because they are Christian on this board. Persecution complex.

Reading the threads around here and I would think its the atheists with the persecution problems

You have come into the thread and stated you would just watch those religious killing themselves and how good it would be
Why?

So you don't get persecuted by the religious anymore?

I genuinely think you hate Christians and you moan about them like you are the persecuted

You are no better.

LOL! What a pathetic attempt to silence the opposition.

As to the OP, I don't believe that any of this actually revolves around religion, but once again, history repeats itself as religion is used by the Powers That Be to accomplish their agenda.

The very fact that "isis" feels the need to murder Christians, among the other groups they persecute, just tells me they're wanting a reaction from the West. And they will do whatever it takes to get that reaction. Christians, atheists, gays, makes no real difference to them. They hate everyone equally. They are terrorists, and this is what they do. Terrorize. And guess what? It's working. The paradigm of Western thought is being changed, and not for the better.

Where did I say I'd just watch the religious kill themselves? You're confusing me with another poster. I don't hate Christians, I don't hate anyone. Just because I disagree with Christians doesn't mean I hate them, but you already know that.

theres being courageous, and there is being stupid. if i was god, i would be shaking my head right now because theres no way in hell i would expect anyone to suffer that kind of humiliation for my benefit.

and if there IS a god doing that, i dearly hope i get the chance to kick him/her/it wherever it hurts the most.

Free will is supposedly a gift God gave to mankind. It means that we can determine our own fates and futures.

I see much hate on this site disguised as debate. But that has been going on forever. It is nothing new. Perhaps people are more honest online because they don't have to deal with the people face to face. As far as ISIS is concerned, they are using religion to destroy people. If it wasn't religion, it'd be something else. People somehow feel the need to have a justification for their hatred.

free will in this context is a political device employed for the purpose of interpreting independence as a vice rather than virtue, tricking us into thinking that slavery is a humane service rather than an imposition and an injustice.

orwellian logic wrapped in the sage philosophical wording that makes arsenic sound as soothing as a hot spring.

What no one mentions is that this is not a mere question of faith or observance.

1. True, just as many Jews tried to convert in the times of Fascism and emerging Nazism in Europe, but preserved something of their different identity (and sometimes "conversion" was not recognized by the so-called Christians), and the same happened when the Spanish Inquisition banned Jews from Spain, you could expect some of these Syrians to convert and choose life over death then step on oil as soon as the dictator guys are not looking.

2. However, reality is that that would not be enough. Does not matter to them if you start praying five times a day on a rug or cross your hands and say the Lord's Prayer.
According to some third party witness news from the area, the first thing the Daesh thugs would do to a new convert is top order him to start murdering and torturing his own friends and/or family. Refuse and you are not a good Muslim in their eyes.
(Needless to say, peaceful millions of Muslims who stress other parts of their religion and who can coexist with Christians would not share this judgment).

3. So unless the entire group happily converts in the same minute (fat chance), no individual stands a chance if he or she is picked upon by the Daesh thugs.

Hence: martyrs and heroes.

as cold as it may sound, perhaps they should be grateful they are dying in moments rather than suffering in years.

it is a relatively peaceful way to go when the alternative is always looking over your shoulder.

Free will is the reasoning behind God not intervening on man's behalf in times of trouble. You can argue the meaning of it all day long, but in the end, it will marginally justify the hatred seen here, seen by ISIS, seen by all religions.
