Human empathy simulation

Today I was wondering when we'll be able to emulate human experiences through technology such as virtual reality.

How amazing would it be to plug into a simulation of someone being beat repeatedly by their parents in order to help the observer gain a better understanding of the individual?

We could use this technology to help people as well as being people together. I think this would work great for people on high horses or someone who is judgemental. Or the guy who walks past the homeless person and does nothing.

But I really am looking forward to VR headsets I will wait until they are all out to buy one though and wait for the best one.
Gonna be massive.



But imagine basejumpers, skydivers and astronaughts having a VR headset sop we can all see what they see.
I don't think I will ever go out.

I can't wait .
My fave upcoming game star citizen is going to be amazing with VR tech .
But facebook bought the rift for a billion bucks so lets see hwo they use the tech also.

A billion dollars not bad for a project started on a crowdfunding site.
It will be used for face to face meetings and such imagine putting on a set and seeing your grandkids the other side of the world.
I really think VR is going to change a lot.
I think movies will be made where you are the main dude seeing from their viewpoint, I bet directors have loads of ideas.

I remember reading a Gibson cyberpunk novel years back and they had D&D VR programs.
Gibson was so far ahead of his time.

A Human Empathy Simulation could be called "self pleasuring" in the virtual world would be called a perpetual "one of the same one entertaining itself by itself".

Brainstorm is another interesting movie that explores the consequences of recording human thoughts and sensations and replaying them for someone else's benefit.

One gentleman made use of a recording relating to some behavior discussed in a few previous posts. He put the tape on infinite loop and damaged his brain.

I suspect the general public would rather exploit such technology in order to experience the night life of a millionaire or visit mount Fuji.

after all, its cheaper to just take a stroll down your local backstreet if you want to see the ugly side of humanity.

What do you think movies, books and stories are designed to do? It guides our imagination to create experiences you have not physically had.

The art of entertainment is guiding your imagination whilst the art of technology is making those experiences as real as possible.

A good book can transport you to another universe, a 3D movie just makes it easier... and in the future I bet we won't know the difference. I for one can't wait
