My grandmother in-law came up to our house because she was certain that we were going to be hit by an asteroid. I found it hilarious that she spent
most of her time here at a casino. I wonder if she blew her savings because she thought it was the end. Sadly a lot of people do that. Back when
Harold Camping claimed it was the end, I remember people had their pets put down. Imagine being that person, so even if the evidence/prophecies seem
fitting for a time/era, I don't take any of them to heart. It never hurts to be prepared for surviving a cataclysmic event, but I mean, almost
anything can happen at any point. No one is guaranteed tomorrow. To me, there is no difference in the natural passing away and a major event happening
that could wipe us all out, besides the number of people that are going to meet their end. When my father passed away, we were informed by hospice of
"signs" of his passing. If his feet turn blue, if his breathing shallows..etc...we would know the time is near. When it came down to it, he had all
the signs and still went out fighting for over 12 hours. We know not the hour of death, even when there are "signs".
